The flies after a heat wave were overwhelming in early July. A screened kitchen tent (unfortunately without a skirt to seal the bottom to the ground) seemed to attract them more than keep them out. The rocky site fill consumed a number of tent pegs. The small beach was a long walk from the campsites and the unmaintained boat launch was use at your own risk. The showers were free for now but outfitted to be coin operated. Bears sighted in the park meant extra care was needed to secure attractants.

Wonderful campground! The guy working there was alone but he was super friendly and awesome. They have a scavenger hunt for the kids and the stalls are huge and have pretty decent privacy. The beach is also great. Definitely will be coming back to this campground!

Beautiful campground. Large & pretty private campsites. Very clean showers & bathrooms. Nice walking path to beach. Staff is diligent & friendly. Great for all camping, tents & campers. Highly recommend, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful campground with large treed sites. Large clean lake offers ample opportunities for any type of water activities. Far enough away from any major highway that there is no traffic noise. Facilities are clean and well maintained. One of the few parks offering organized activities.

Well kept provincial campground with almost 200 sites. Dump station and potable water available. Power at many sites. Numerous sites are not very level, so bring the necessary boards, blocks, etc to help level your RV, if that is important for you. Sites in loop D and E are very large and sites in other loops are large and private. Some adjoining sites are available as well.

A remote paradise for those who love natural forest environments. We had a huge, very private site and were visited by a small friendly deer almost daily. Lots of birds. Firewood was included in price. Cell phone service was poor but not completely absent. The bugs were awful, we had to run to escape them on forest trails a couple of times even though we had bug spray. We visited a few other lakes in the vicinity and explored small Northern Alberta towns. Sadly, the bird sanctuary was flooded, but we did manage to walk along the boardwalk and check out quite a few birds. We loved it even though we got a lot of rain during our stay. We will probably not be back just because of the distance from Calgary.

Stayed here from the 16th to the 22nd. Beautiful serene remote campground. Very quiet. Nice large private well treed campsites, large fire pits with nice movable cooking grills. Ran into many tame deer, small forest hawks, squirrels, and a grouse! Many bathroom houses, with a very nice well kept shower house. Trails to link and cut across each loop, and trails to the lake. The staff are very friendly and helpful as well. The firewood is of great quality too. Overall, I felt very close to nature and at home here. Well worth the 7+ hour drive from the Calgary area.

We camped there during Aug long weekend 2020. The location is good, the lake is amazing, but the toilets, showers, and overall area has significant hygiene issues. There was food and other garbage all over the place. No wonder they have bears problem on the campsite.
