★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m fairly new to fishing . I went to Highwater to buy some lure and to get my rod fixed . I met Max @ High water who spent a good amount time teaching me what techniques to employ in order to catch salmon. I went angling the next day and coughs my first salmon. Good costumer service ,in depth knowledge knowledge of what they do , fantastic attitude and reasonable prices

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff here can help you get what you need. Have a budget? They can work with that. They know so much about fishing that they are willing to share that with you. Fantastic shop. Way better than going to some big box store.

I didn't feel welcome and I felt like I didn't get the opportunity to actually see if they had what I was looking for because the guy at the front was so mean to me and tried to belittle me by continuously emphasizing that it's a fishing store.... Obviously it is!

I’m not a fishing expert and had some fishing equipment passed down to our family, I brought everything in and Gill spent a lot of time helping go through and telling us what was still good/useable and even fixed a bunch of things that were either broken or not working properly! She helped us get fully set up for both fresh- and salt-water fishing (line/lures/weights/floats etc. etc.) and told us where the best spots to go with our young kids. Would definitely recommend coming here, they seemed to know all their customers by name and I don’t think you’ll get that level of attention and service anywhere else! Will be back for sure!

I can come in here and just mention my dad's name and say how much I roughly want to spend and Gill knows exactly what he likes to fish with right down to the colours - I never have to mess up Christmas with the amazing customer service you get here. I can only imagine others have a similar experience, as this place has been around forever.
