★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super cool joint for some good live music and cold beer. I was here on a sunday night for the blues jam. Being from Georgia and surrounded by great Americana music I was interested to see what Winnipeg had to offer. I walked out with a smile on my face. I wish I remembered the name of the guy leading the jam but he was fantastic as were all the musicians who signed up to play. Well done High And Lonesome Club. If I'm ever in Winnipeg again I shall return. Cheers!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Winnipeg's roots music honky tonk jewel. Now newly expanded (longer, not wider). New space in the back to step away from the music for a visit--great idea, because it helps the front be an even better listening room. Nice job with the new, accessible washrooms.

This is a storied Music venue, and artists from all over Canada (and indeed, the world) perform this little club with big character. Enjoy the memorabilia all over the walls, the show posters past and present, the kitschy and the rustic. Grab a Standard, find a seat (or don’t), and enjoy the tunes.
