Decent job workmanship wise but very careless with install and had to redo it. Did not ask the ladder size and blamed us for not providing the ladder size when they never asked us. As an expert you have to qualify the job better. And instead of admitting installing the ladder rack on company vehicle in a way that would not hold our ladders, they looked annoyed and frustrated that they had to redo it. Not the attitude to give when you charge top dollar for the work. Be better next time. ?

Purchased a Curt A16 5th wheel hitch in 2019 and had Hi-Lite install it. Had problems with the hitch not locking when connecting more often than not and I returned to Hi-Lite and explained the problem. They checked the hitch and said there was no problem with it. Due to Covid the traile3r was not towed for 17 months. Still had the problem. Had a mechanic look at the hitch and it was determined the automatic reset on the coupling was binding and was not releasing which would allow it to Lock and allow the hitch to switch from couple mode to tow mode. Once the hitch was lubricated it finally worked. This problem should have been obvious to a person knowledgeable about the product they sell. When they installed the hitch it should have bee lubricated at that time.

I had Hi-Lite do a shelving build out for my new Ford Transit van, from which I run a small HVAC & plumbing business out of. I can't say enough about how amazing my experience was with them. Firstly, these guys aren't your average truck outfitting shop. A good majority of the equipment they install is fabricated in shop, so the customizability is endless and the pricing is competitive. It seems they've also made improvements to all the standard bolt-in package stuff you get at many of the van outfitting shops across the lower mainland. These guys install thier own product, and they stand behind it. Much of it seems to be made of heavier gauge metal, heavier duty drawer slides etc. Above all else the customer service is absolutely exceptional. They will listen to you and spend the time with you to ensure you're happy, even though it's quite apparent how very busy they are. They also had some great suggestions for me, which actually saved me money and ensured a better final product for what I wanted. It's pretty obvious these guys have been doing this for years and years. Go see Harry or Mark, or any of the great staff they have there, you won't be disappointed.

I did not use this companies services so they will probably say they have no records of me. This is why... I stopped by looking for a custom aluminum top to be built for my truck. Relatively simple job. (Eventually got it done in two days at another shop) I spoke to the guy there and he helped me design a cost effective top for my truck. I was very pleased with his design as my original was costly. He said I would have to wait about a month to get the job done and that he would email me asap with a final quote in order to schedule me in.(spots fill up fast apparently..) I left that day happy with the outcome as I did not need the top built right away. Anyway a week had passed and I did not receive any emails. I phoned in to remind them that I was waiting for an email so I can schedule in my truck. Spots filled quickly after all and I didn't want to be pushed 2 months down the line... The guy told me that he had not forgotten and that things were busy. He would get back to me soon. Two weeks later, I called again to gently remind them that I was waiting for an email. The first guy that answered the phone was a bit rude. He told me that the original guy I had been talking to was out of the shop and would call me back later. The original guy did call me back about 1 min later. I told him who I was and said that I had not received an email yet. He seemed a bit annoyed that I called again and said my rough quote is on his desk and that he sees it everyday. The quote would be sent shortly so that I can be scheduled in. I asked if he could just schedule me in now(to secure a spot) and send the quote later as I did not care of any price discrepancies between the original and final quote. He said he could not do that and an email had to be sent first. Fast forward over a month, I still have not received any emails or phone calls from Hi-lite. I did not want to call back a third time as I am sure I would have gotten the run around again. Whether I was forgotten for a third time or they just decided they didn't want to do the work without telling me is bad business. I'm sure they fabricate some pretty nice products but if you're one of the little guys, you might just get ignored.

Staff was very helpful. I have just bought a new vehicle and wanted to see if my old rack would fit. The guys were very helpful and with the suggestions they made I was able to fit the rack onto the new truck.
