I rented from Dollar at the airport, and the display was malfunctioning, so I arranged to exchange it at the Scarborough location. They tried to give me a lesser car, and then gave a car that wasn't in perfect shape. They got me to sign the damage report before we even looked at the car, and then when I told them about the scuffs and the damage, and said for them to write it on the report, they blew me off, and were very rude. Now, months later, I get a letter from a collection agency saying I damaged the car. I've been on the phone for hours over the last month, trying to get the right person to fix this. No luck. Just transferred to the Philippines, who says they can't help me. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!!

T	Terry Preston on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My very first google review ever. DO NO RENT FROM HERTZ 2507 EGLINTON AVE EAST LOCATION!!! I had a 24 hour SUV rental which I returned the next day at 7:50am. I received a call that same afternoon saying I needed a professional cleaning service. I disagreed with the customer representative as only the front two seats were used and 2nd/3rd row was untouched. The representative threatened to BAN me from future HERTZ car rentals over this disagreement and hung up the phone on me. I DID NOT appreciate their BULLY TACTICS! Called back immediately to get my email invoice. Upon inspection of my receipt I noticed a few extra hundred kilometers on the vehicle I rented - 1173KM TOTAL FOR 24 HOURS (I had unlimited kilometers so I wasn't concerned). I suggest HERTZ headquarters do an internal GPS audit on the matter. OVERALL, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

When picking up the car they had rolled all the windows down and the key was already in the ignition so we didn't notice the smell until already driving and was too late to turn around and complain. The key fob even said "smoke smell" but they didn't inform us of this prior to handing over the car. Don't trust them and double check the car fully before accepting anything from them.

Although they said it was an upgrade, the Mazda CX3 is a tiny suv, it was not comfortable at all, the seats were way too close to your knees, painful for long drives! You can’t fit multiple suitcases or more than 4 adults. We would have been a lot more comfortable if we got the full size car we booked. Nevertheless they tried to be accommodating but I expected a comfortable vehicle when I booked full size. They had a Ford Edge but the premium they charged me to upgrade was twice my original rental cost.
