★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst experience I’ve had renting a car. Stuff were «super nice» but then:
- They tryied to convince us to prepay the full gas tank and when we said no, they charged us anyways ($86). We realized that when we give it back with full tank in another office.
- They lied to us about the winter tires (all Hertz cars have basic winter tires that are law-compilant) forcing us to pay $375 to upgrade to a car we didn’t actually need.
Avoid.

Didn’t give excuses but apologize for inconvenience .. it was quick and easy

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The first person who helped me was great. Very friendly and helpful. He passed me off to another worker who seemed a bit smug. Maybe he should have been because I was convinced to pay for a full tank beforehand through them. I went to Banff and back, and they said I'd be rolling in with not much gas left.
I came back with over half a tank. I could live with that if it wasn't for the contract. They didn't fill me in in my options, and I could have got credit for the gas left in the tank. They put in the contract that I wouldn't get credit for the gas remaining. So screw me right? They got more money from me and I have no recourse.
I'll chock it up to a lesson learned, what else can I do? I just hope people are aware that while in a hurry I trusted the workers and got taken for a ride.
