Great family business ?

BE AWARE! I would recommend that you DO NOT USE this company. I own a restaurant and called him to look at my walk in freezer. It had iced up so he de-iced it and then said it needed a new motor even though it was working fine after he de-iced the motor. He had gone to Calgary to pick up a motor for the freezer before doing the work and had it in the van. I trusted him and said “he is the professional and if it is bunt out and needed, go ahead. I asked for the part (which I always do) and found that there was nothing wrong with it. I plugged it in and it worked like new. This freezer was only 3 years old at the time. I figured that he had bought it and did not want to return it and could make more money off me. A year later my lowboy stopped working. I thought I would give him another try. When he looked at it he said it was the compressor it has to be changed. I said if that is what is wrong because I do not know do what is needed because I need to have it up and running. He changed it and took the part with him. (I had asked for the part and like to have the parts to see then). Then the next couple of days it kept shutting off and not working. So I called another company and asked question. They said it was probably the fan that was burnt out not the compressor. So I called him up to tell him it was not working still. When he came in I asked him about the fan and that why did he not check the fan. He got angry with me and told me he has been doing this for 20 years and would not listen. He change the fan and charged for both repair calls. I asked for my compressor and he said he did not have it but would drop it off. It took a while but he did drop it off but it did not look like the one that came out. The lowboy was only 4 years old and this compressor look like it was years older. So I talked to the new company about it and how upset I was. 7 months later the Lowboy stopped working and was under warranty. So we called Harry to come in under warranty to look at it. He did and then told us that capacitor was faulty and needed replacing. He told us that he put one in that works at 10% efficiency and temporary we needed to replace it. He gave us a bill for 155 dollars to replace the capacitor with the Temporary capacitor and labour even though it is under warranty. So I called Wayne from Day Star Mechanical again and he said that the all electrical parts and the compressor is under warranty and that all he had to do is take the part number in and get a new one for free. I will never use Heritage Refrigeration again and highly recommend others do not either. The work falls far from the truth! Michael Cora's Breakfast
