Hearth + Home Fireplace & Renovations - Calgary

We had a wood burning stove installed in our basement. This was a project that had it's challenges but the install crew did an amazing job and delivered the product as promised. I would recommend Hearth & Home.

I’m so sad how the entire job went south with Hearth and Home … Zero communication or contact with us at any time throughout the project from start to finish to ever update us on delays or when they failed to protect our hearth and had to order new slate to replace it when they damaged it but stating that it was already damaged and told me they had photos but never provided them to me when asked repeatedly… I provided pictures that it was not damaged and they put nothing over top of it to protect it when removing the wood burning fireplace so of coarse it was damaged …. It took over a week to get new slate ordered even after I was asked to provide pictures and measurements of the slate ten days prior but again I called to ask if it had been ordered and no it had not until I instigated a phone call … Then was told the slate would take a week or so to get in and after 4 weeks of waiting I called and emailed yet again … Absolutely no accountability when things kept going wrong due to installer errors and Mitch the installation manager had a very cavalier attitude when I voiced my concerns … they made us feel like we were bothering them and anything we said fell on deaf ears … I paid over 9000 thousand dollars upfront for our gas fireplace insert and it took 4 months of back and forth with me pushing the project to get done because of complete incompetence and lack of care with installation. The installation manager agreed that yes there were definitely ALOT more errors with our job but never once offered up an apology or solution but was rather dismissive and was quite arrogant with me on the phone. Our fireplace was finally finished 2 weeks ago and the installer walked out the door and we have never ever heard from anyone at Hearth and Home with a follow up phone call or to even so much ask us if we are happy or how things turned out !!!!!!! There were far more things that went wrong and couldn’t possibly be conveyed on this review … The only positive was Matt who first came out to our home to give the quote but after that everything went downhill and I guarantee that the owner / president of this company has any idea what has gone on as no one brought any of this to his attention from the staff … I had a lengthy conversation with Breanne and she could not have cared a less about any of my concerns and obviously did not pass along anything to a manager to address what has happened … The day our fireplace was up and running after they left I tried to turn on the fan and it doesn’t even work :( … We are completely defeated … Good luck if your going to give these guys a try …

H&H provided a thoroughly professional process and result. We love our new gas fireplace. They went the extra distance to accommodate us. There was a small part missing from the manufacturer at the end and they took the effort and expense to rig up a temporary solution for a few weeks so we could use the fireplace before the replacement part arrived. Thank-you.

Hats off to Roger ( service tech) at H& H. He was out to service our 20 yr. old gas fireplace and spent a great deal of time making sure everything was in good working order. He advised us of a possible part replacement but diid not try to up sell it . A very pleasant young man. We have been using this company for a few years and highly recommend them.

We went looking for a wood stove, searched online, found Hearth and Home and started there. We didn't look any further because from the moment we walked into their store/showroom we received everything we needed. I think it was Matt who answered our questions and showed us the products. Price was in our budget, product is perfect, installation was professional, helpful staff throughout. I highly recommend this business based on our experience.

We are really enjoying our new gas fireplace insert. Hearth+Home Fireplace and Renovations provides excellent customer service. The sales staff, technicians, and administrative staff have all been very helpful and supportive. We wanted to replace the tile on the hearth and H+H were able to do this for us as well. There were a few supply chain challenges that the staff had to work around but they did a great job of pulling it all together. Looking forward to reading by the fire this winter. Our living room looks polished and modern. Let it snow!

Hearth and Home employees, from sales to installers to technicians, were eager to please and were able to offer expertise with regards to the options that I had with regards to my fireplace. The install was quick and efficient, once the product arrived in Calgary. (shipping delays changed dates) Overall a relatively smooth experience from purchase to completion! Thank you

From the first time speaking with Matt at Hearth & Home about getting a fire table for our deck, to the first time lighting our beautiful Quadra Fire Table it has been amazing! Matt was fantastic to work with! He sent us information on a variety of table options, and he also came over to the house to help us decide on the best size and colour that would work for our space. He went over with us how the gas line would be installed and set up an appointment for the gas fitter to come to our home and explain to us exactly how the install would be done, which was very reassuring so we knew there would be no surprises, especially when you are dealing with gas. Matt kept in touch once we purchased the fire table and updated us on our order and also let us know when there was a short delay in shipping of the table. When delivery day arrived the guys from Hearth & Home were wonderful! They were patient with us as I made them adjust the table a few inches to get it in just the right spot. Just so you know this table took 3 men to move. We have been enjoying the fire table almost every evening! It has been a wonderful addition to our outdoor space and allowed us to extend our evenings outside on the cooler fall days. I highly recommend Hearth & Home Fireplace & Renovations! As someone who believes that customer service is as important as the quality of the product they will not disappoint!
