Hazelmere Kennels

Clean, safe, and attentive staff. My dog loves going here for daycare and overnight stays. Ownership, staff, and facilities are all 5 star. I visited every kennel in the area and Hazelmere was the only choice for my pup. I would highly recommend Hazelmere Kennels.

The staff at Hazelmere are just awesome - very accommodating and our springer spaniel loves going here. You just know when your pet is going someplace where they are happy and content - it shows in their body language and Scout is VERY excited & happy when he gets here. So much easier to travel when we have a place we trust and rely on to take great care of him.

We have spent a few thousands dollars at this kennel, but our last experience was horrible. They called the morning before we were to pick up saying our dog was not eating (which is common for her when she is sad and without affection), saying our “old” dog needed to see a vet “immediately.” When we said it was not possible and that it sounded normal, they yelled and shouted at us, called a plethora of times, and gave alarmist messages. We have young kids and we were an hour and a half away, with close family members that were at work. They were condescending, impatient, disrespectful, and terribly unprofessional. The shocking part was learning that this was not an employee but the owner herself. We had a family member make the drive to pick our pup up because clearly she was unwanted there and they threatened to get a taxi and send her off to a vet that could cost a lot of money. It’s one thing for them to be wrong (our dog is fine), but it’s another thing to be wrong AND incredibly rude. Our pup has been healthy and happy and normal since we reunited the day after. Our family member said she saw nothing abnormal (except for the owner also trying to shame her when she picked up our pup). I don’t know whether the owner was trying to make room for another dog, or whether she is not a dog person (or maybe an anti-people person). Or maybe they just don’t know how to show dogs much love. At any rate, we will never go to Hazelmere Kennels ever again and that is sad because their employees have been great in the past. Avoid this place that has forgotten who their customers are.

They are wonderful and caring people. This was the first time for our dog, which seemed quite happy. Our dog has anxiety issues due to being blind on one eye. I recommend this place.

Hazelmere Kennels has been an absolute joy over the years. I appreciate the thoroughness when booking as well as their professionalism from all the staff and owners. My dog Tiger is always happy to see everyone working there and he is always retuned in great condition. Thank you Hazelmere for always taking such amazing care of Tiger, even if it’s just for a few nights or a couple weeks we know he’s safe and happy in your care. As a veterinary assistant, I care deeply about where my pets go and who cares for them. I have always had the most wonderful experiences with Hazelmere - in person and over the phone.. I recommend them to everyone!
