R	Rodda Prime on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As a former employee let me tell you, please for the love of god take your loved ones somewhere else, anywhere else but here. If your first floor for rehabilitation of limbs or something it's fine, but long term? Hire an in home caretaker. This 50+ year old building has no air conditioning(2nd floor), these rooms are deeply hellish in the summer, the poor individuals living here are crammed 4 people in one room to share one bathroom! food is all canned with next to no fresh produce available, and the engagement?? Pitiful. Hardly any activities, just people sitting in the cafeteria waiting for the next meal because that's the only stimulus besides TV. Now the staff, for their part , are (mostly) doing their best, the nurses and psws are great hardworking people, so where's the problem? The ineffective ,ineffectual , vindictive, backstabbing gossips that is Administration, they disgust me even now. They're apathy and lack of personal investment as well as total disregard for the lives of the residents should be criminal. This place urgently needs to be evacuated and bulldozed to the ground.
W	Willy Estable on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hawthorne care center should be called Hawthorne death center. They killed my mother in law. The management team is ruthless rude unprofessional. My family member died Charlotte the administrator didn't care called the police on use because we wanted to get my mother's personal belongings. Banned us going there. 3 hrs after my mother died I asked for document a copy of what they send me every month. I needed this to barry my mom and she would not give to me. Laughed in my face treated me like a dog. Waving her hands at me like a dog. Anyone can see the video for her. This was 3hrs after my mother passed away. Please do not put your family members there. It's full of cockroach and mice. If you family member is paralyzed they are supposed to have 2people attending to them but they use only 1 person. My m fell so many times and did not tell us.
C	Cpmf Feilberg on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Residents don't get a chance to have entertainment they like it's supposed to be home for the residents however management dictates what MANAGEMENT wants. Tough luck for the people who live there and don't like it. Its a dictatorship. In fact they invent bills to get money out of residents. If someone dies in your family, and you are left even enough to go to McDonald's they will find a way to yank it off of you. I can't believe the rating is even 2.1, it should be 1.000000

No matter how often we complain about being struck by the elevator nothing is done except for a sorry about that. This home needs to be rebuilt in my opinion and many other residents agree with me. It is accessible but the care leaves a lot to be desired. Depending on who you are is how your cars is delivered. If your family is involved in your care you get much better care than those of us whose families are not involved. We get numerous moh ltc reports on things not complied with the last one was 32 pages. I know because as RC president I get these reports continually. I wish I could give a better review but this is how it is here in my experiences over the past 10 years. resident favoritism is a big problem. Our resident council makes suggestions of things wrong but feel like we are unheardm

Proud to work in Long term care. Most Residents and staff are friendly, pleasant and welcome assistance. The negative reviews seems intentional bad minded, spoiled, illiterate, unsatisfied, has serious personal issues, disgruntled people, so very sorry and disappointed they were not ok with the service. Unfortunate Family visitors experience poor service. Majority of Family visitors are pleasant, understanding and polite. We are always trying to improve our Customer Services. Hope all the people who wrote poor reviews return and are impressed with the improvement made. Let's have a fresh new positive outlook and work together to make our home the best it can be.

They will not give them water or necessities of life because they are just to busy. If your loved one dies here don't worry they will blame covid for it even if it is borderline murder. Second guess your morals if you decide to put your loved one's here, they wont last long
D	Doug B on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I will admit that I had many concerns when my brother, Bill, was admitted to Hawthorne Place last October, 2020. I had heard the negative reports and did my own investigating. I scanned the internet and I spoke with the Executive Director on the phone and she was upfront and answered my questions and allayed my fears. From the moment Bill entered the residence to now, he has been treated with great care and dignity. He is very comfortable in his new home. On my frequent visits, I have observed a helpful and devoted staff. I certainly believe that any past problems have been addressed and the current situation is remarkable in these trying times. Bill is in a good place. Also I commend Hawthorne Place on its weekly communications with the resident's family. It's very comforting to be kept informed.
C	Chrome Devices on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having been released from hospital due to a leg injury- Where do I go now? Hawthorne Place seemed perfect for my immediate convalescence. It was the unknown when I arrived, but in no time I was welcomed by the staff. When I needed help, the PSW's were there. How can they be in so many places at once is beyond me. Hawthorne has a hair salon, library, laundry, T.V lounges, gardens and what a dinning room!! A safe place to convalesce and recover or make it your new home. All the staff want you to get better and they go above and beyond caring for you. Sally B March/2022.
