Great place to take a short walk or stay awhile and enjoy the sounds of the river.

This spot is within eye-shot of many, but remains a hidden gem for most. Really enjoyed our time there with the kids. We didn't get on the water, but enjoyed splashing our feet on the edge while watching others thoroughly enjoy their floats down the channel. Our timing was also great to enjoy the Saskatoon berries along the main path heading west.

Calgary's Bow River rapid. It has 2 sides. One advanced. One side for the novice. I am scouting out for the summer. A must do if you want to kayak down the Bow River.

The Slalom Kayak Course is the best place in Calgary to train for Olympic kayaking. Great place to kayak or hang out. Make sure you wear a helmet and lifejacket!

I come here regularly after work to practice skills. It's a very safe manmade whitewater park with several features to help you learn beyond basic whitewater navigation. Sometimes I even come without my boat and just swim through the rapids to cool off. Definitely a popular spot on hot summer days! There are a couple good waves for the river surfers, as well. Harvie's Passage is part of the reason I moved to Calgary! We are very lucky to have something like this right inside the city.

Great spot on a hot day, the pools? Are shallow enough you can stand and swim, the current is relatively strong but with many places where it’s shallow enough that that’s not a problem. Bring a floaty/life jacket to play. Now it’s super super busy on weekends now so be ready to find alternative parking as is a small parking lot. Overall a great spot for the family to enjoy a great afternoon in the park.

This spot is a must see. It’s has a really great scenery to it and a river that flows through multiple drops. Make an evening out of it you’ll be glad you did. The only time it gets out of hand is when everyone ones drinking, so watch for that. Best to just leave at that point.

Love this place. It is usually very busy at summer time but by September it's empty because the water is freezing. Still very nice place to be listening to the running water and enjoying the scenery. Follow me for more insights!
