About Harmony Acres Campground

A RADIO FREE AND NATURAL EXPERIENCE:

Designed for quiet families, friends, & couples

Our campground is the perfect place for a peaceful quiet getaway; for those who want to be in a natural setting near the tip of the Bruce Peninsula and central to both the Bruce Peninsula National Park and Fathom Five National Marine Park, beaches of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, yet away from the crowds.

Our sites are well treed, clean and private. We offer both premium and standard sites for tenting.  We have a few 15amp electrical sites great for camper trucks, pop up trailers and tents. There are 3 larger sites that have 30 amp and water service to site which  are great for trailers and small RV’s. We have 4 larger non serviced  Group sites which are designed for 6-8 people of larger families or friends.

Our one room cabins are rustic, designed with cedar log rafters and pine board & batten walls, providing a tenting experience but with solid walls and a proper roof. Personal linens are required. There is NO electricity or water in cabins with the exception of Cabin 1 which has electricity only.

Each site and cabin have their own fire pit, picnic table and parking for one vehicle.

We are proud to say that we are an ecologically friendly campground and use only products that are healthy for humans, animals and the environment.

It's a 10 minute drive from Tobermory and 5 minutes from the grotto. It's about 2/3 of the price of camping in the provincial park and much nicer. It's got fully functioning bathrooms, showers, and dish washing stations. It has cabins. The sites are sized mostly for 1 tent and a small car. There are some larger shared sites but we personally didn't stay at those. The sites are beautiful and groomed but a little closer together so there is a no radio policy and campfires must be out by 11 so it's nice and peaceful. That's perfectly fine when you're up there. Enjoy nature with your family!

The campground overall was very clean, and the campsite was nice and large with plenty of space for our tents, a car, a fire pit, and an eating area - we choose G2. The staff is very friendly too! Unfortunately we picked the wrong time to go because it rained almost the whole time we stayed. Despite that no puddles formed on our site and the ground stated nice and solid so kudos to the campground for using a quality sand/gravel/soil mix for amazing water drainage. Definitely want to come back sometime to enjoy some better weather!

Cannot say how much I love this place. It's a nature zone so no radios at all. I love it! Use headphones for sure, but not out loud. Guitars encouraged though. Clean sites, shady and wooded. Well maintained bathrooms, friendly staff. People that camp here typically are courteous and care about thier neighbour's. It's a family site. Def call and book

Nice spot. Expensive but worth it if you are just looking for a simple easily accessible place to camp. Very strict rules and some of the staff aren’t the friendliest. I don’t think kids are allowed here and it was clear why when we got there. Better get used to falling asleep to the sound of moaning and screaming.

Overall, it was only okay and personally for us, don't think we will go back. We stayed only one night because Bruce Peninsula PP had no availability for two nights. If you are out most of the day, just need a site to crash and don't expect much, this would be right for you. We were shocked when we drove up to the site. Recap below: Pros: -COMPLIMENTARY hard wood (free but hard to catch or burn) -Site itself was CLEAN -QQUIET: As I think I've heard they are pretty strict with that. -PORTABLE TOILETS: This was the toilet closest to our site. You hear people slamming the doors when entering/exiting. Cons -CHECK-IN: Very slow. It was outdoor under a tent, had two pair in front of me. -NOISE: it's literally right beside the road so you heard all the cars/trucks on Highway 6 -SPACE: The two-person campsites were EXTREMELY small (picture was widescreen but its smaller than it looks). We had a 4-door sedan, anything bigger would've taken up the whole site. It literally only had space for one tent. -PRIVACY: For us, absolutely none. Another campsite was already right across, thank god that day, it was vacant. -FIREPIT: The position of the fire pit was literally at the front, gathering around it would mean staring right at the main path and all the sites in front. Enjoy the review! :)

If you're looking for a place to party, this is not it. If you're looking for a quiet, well cared for campground, where you can actually enjoy nature, this is the place to go. They have strict rules and they do enforce them, but the rules are laid out clearly on the website, so if you can read, you know what you're getting into. The only downsides are that it's close to the highway (ie. Noise), and the showers are a bit expensive ($3 for 4 minutes). But it's a great place in a great location. If you're an actual camper, you'll enjoy it.

Great staff, the sites are pretty private for the most part. You can hear the highway from the sites closer to the road but it's not bad. I've been here 3 times now and every time has been great! Very close drive to everything, hiking trails right on the camp ground and a horse ranch. Very cool place!

My husband and I did some tent camping here with our dog. It is by far the cleanest campground I have ever been to. The owners are friendly and even have stuff to borrow when you forget the odd tool, etc. The have an outdoor kitchen for public use, fire poker, grills and much more. Again it's sooooo clean. Bathrooms are gorgeous and the horses are just stunning.
