★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was my first time snowshoeing at Hardwood. I had a great time! It was amazing! The trail was easy to follow and I was amazed at how large the property was. Definitely going to try and get back before winter ends and planning on buying a pass for next year!

Had a wonderful Saturday skiing with my family, and returned for a mid-week run as well. The trails are in excellent shape, well designed and well groomed. Were also lucky to have sunny days ? with the right temperature.
The staff was very friendly and helpful with purchasing equipment, knowledgeable and experienced in advising what to get. Much better than ordering online with no advice whatsoever, and well prepared to observe physical distancing rules in the outdoor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time visitor. Very easy to book entry ticket and equipment rental online. On a weekday, getting fitted for boots, skis and poles was quick and easy. I went on the Nagano trail ( 8 km moderate) and really enjoyed it. The classic tracks were well defined, the skating track beside them was wide and kept the two disciplines well separated. Lovely hardwood forest, quiet, calming. Loved it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked the "Introduction to skiing" package that included trail pass, rentals and a 60-minute introductory lesson to skiing. Even though I had been cross-country skiing a handful of times before, this lesson was an excellent way to get taught the proper basic techniques needed to ensure you have fun out on the trails. The instructor was great! After the lesson, we went out on the yellow trail (5 km) and had a great time! Will come back, only a 75 minute drive from our home in Toronto, definitely worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is great!! Trails are meticulously labelled & very well maintained. The only thing to look out for is trails closures, which are not communicated or updated anywhere, which will mean you have to detour via another trail. I've only experienced that on GNARLY & had to detour via FUN (see photos). BEFORE RIDING: you'll get a sticker for your bike once you complete pandemic screening etc. AFTER RIDING: there are several bays to hang your bike (drivetrain or braking), pump & toolset area & one bay to wash it off. The onsite mechanic can help you out based on availability. There may be a small cost to that. Great experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hardwood Hills is a great place to take the family to nordic ski. They have a wide variety of trails from beginner to expert, great staff and service. The on-site store is equipped with anything your heart desires to keep you warm and fashionable in the winter, plus an outstanding selection of equipment for every price range. While I've never taken a lesson I watched the instructors interact with client and was impressed with their knowledge and teaching abilities.
