★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Picked this company because they had good Google ratings and A PLUS rating on Better Business Bureau. Had to wait a month for an appointment to get an estimate. Handyman Connection of Victoria just phoned and cancelled on the afternoon of the day before a 9:00 am appointment just to get an estimate. Handyman Connection cited they are suffering a massive labour shortage and cannot even provide an estimate with no timeframe on when they could provide an estimate for a 4-to-6-hour French door pantry installation. If indeed this is a labour shortage issue, labour shortages don’t happen overnight; I am not impressed that Handyman Connection just wasted a month of my time so I can be told they can not even provide an estimate. Very unprofessional.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We called Handyman Connection to explore fence repairs. Their response was immediate. Andrew Mahon came on time on the agreed upon date to review in-person. Andrew listened to my needs including reusing the existing fence material, assessed fully, gave solid advice and quoted a fair price. All this demonstrated integrity, efficiency, patience, and excellent communication. Andrew was upfront about what can/cannot be done with reusing materials and that the job can be done by one person in one day (and it was!). I really appreciated his honesty, good nature and smile. I would also like to acknowledge Mariah Berkers – pleasant frontline staff, patient, excellent communicator, responsive and we had a good laugh about technology. I will definitely suggest Handyman Connection to others. Now that I’ve learned about their other services, I will call on them again if price is within my budget. Thank you Andrew Mahon and Handyman Connection.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I obtained an in-person quote to do some work on 2 closet doors and accepted the quote. When the handyman came out to do the work, he decided it would be hard to fix and gave me a new quote, involving total replacement, which would cost 3 times as much. I declined as I then had to reassess the project. I was charged $150 for this new quote. No repairs were done and the doors are still laying on my floor. Have tried to address with the agency but have gotten no response to my emails and phone call, which was extremely disappointing.
EDIT: HC contacted me after their response below, and has refunded the $150, which was appreciated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Andrew M. from Handyman Connection did an excellent job on our home repairs. He offered several solutions to the repair while keeping our budget in mind. He didn’t try to up-sell us on a more costly project. He was very friendly and completed his repairs quickly and professionally. He was careful not to make a mess and was quick to clean up after the job was done. We were so happy with his easy going manner and quality repairs that we already booked him for another job.

HC may charge a little more but they are responsive and send first class people quickly. Well worth it. Thank you Andrew and HC.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Two thumbs up Handyman Connection, especially for Brad who was my handyman. I had two different projects: one was for the installation of wineracks on the wall, and one was for the assembly and installation of an outdoor bench. In both cases, Brad listened well to understand what I wanted, carried out his work professionally and diligently, and sought feedback along the way to see if the work was what I needed. He arrived on time, and completed the job in the time allotted. He offered suggestions that made the outdoor bench project better than I could have hoped for. All in all, a thoroughly positive experience getting the work I needed done, and done well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great work! Chris came in to remove a set of doors and then replace them with drywall, he also added in new baseboards and primed the walls so I could paint. He was very professional, polite, quiet and focused. There was a little mix up in the scheduling at first but it worked out and Chris got here earlier than expected!! All in all, I was impressed and very happy that I chose Handyman Connection!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The process with handyman connection was refreshing compared with other handymen and contractors we have had to deal with since we bought our home. It can be a challenge to communicate and schedule with trades these days. I had a fairly simple job that they quoted me a fair price for, scheduled a time, showed up, did a good job, and kept me informed the entire way through the process. Most importantly I’m happy with the trim work that was done. I will definitely use them again for other things I need done in the house.
