Its decently priced, awesome manager and staff are really helpful. I would recommend this place for getting your taxes to anyone. Answered and explained everything I had questions about (to do with doing your taxes).

My son always dealt with this company to get taxes done. I honestly find them incompetent. We dropped of his paperwork to be done told would call when done. He got call ready to pickup. Go to the office to get return hand original paperwork he was handed to the woman at the desk. My son gave the paperwork with all information he was given. One woman started searching could not find finished return. Second woman finally comes to front and both start searching. Finally is found. My son had a couple of questions neither woman could answer. They had no idea on any of the questions that my son was asking. I have to say they were very knowledgeable in how to take the payment. I could not believe the experience. I now know why I go elsewhere.

Made an appointment for 1pm. Came in from out of town and was told they would get around to doing it within the next couple hours as they are backed up with walk ins. They said they would call at some point today when they are done. I told them I made an appointment for a reason as I live out of town and have some questions about my tax return. How do I ask these questions if I can't talk to the person doing my taxes? I guess appointments are irrelevant and they told me to just wait around for a few hours to hear from them. Sure, I'd love to wait in the parking lots for hours. Worth the extra drive to go into Winnipeg as I've never had an issue at an H & R block there. Will not be coming back here.

Honestly, I would not recommend going to any tax place because it's all a scam. They charge you $200 for a deceased tax return when the person wasn't even receiving anything back in return. When I've gone to Liberty Tax they usually charged a percentage of what I was getting back for my taxes, which was usually around $100. Even then that is a ridiculous amount to charge, especially after figuring out how easy they are to do on your own! There are so many free online software's that you can use to do it yourself and it walks you through it step by step. Unfortunately I had never had to do a deceased return before and the online system said I would have to mail it in to the CRA, and I wanted to be sure I was submitting everything properly. I should have asked how much they were going to charge because $200 is absolutely insane. Not to mention when I asked why it was so expensive the people were so rude to me and were like "I don't make the prices" and then told me that they actually charge higher amounts in April than they do in earlier months because it's the end of tax season. If you can't do your taxes yourself, then for one, don't go to H&R. Go to Liberty Tax, and two, go way earlier in the year and don't do your taxes in April because that's when they extort you. Lastly, they were super unsympathetic towards me as I started to cry. I'm dealing with my dads final taxes and I'm his only child and he barely had any funds, so $200 was so expensive, so I was overwhelmed and upset. Not once did I get a "I'm sorry for your loss" or "Take care" or anything like that. They literally had the audacity to say "Have a great day" while I'm crying. I do not recommend H&R Block to anyone.
