About Gypsy Rose Tattoo & Piercing
Gypsy Rose opened in March of 2006, with two tattoo artists and one piercer. We have since grown into a new and more central location with a well rounded staff of seven artists and two body piercers! We offer Tattoos and Body Piercing by appointment and walk-in, as long as you produce a piece of valid government issued ID.
Nina Gremo, the owner/creative genius behind Gypse Rose, began her career in a historical Canadian tattoo studio, Way Cool - Queen Street in Toronto in 1999. She has worked and lived locally and internationally and brings together the best of what she learned to create Gypsy Rose.
Since 2006, we have also hosted several successful charitable events and have raised nearly $15,000.00 for the Calgary Food Bank (as well as 3+ tonnes of food and toiletries for donation). We have also raised $5000.00+ for the Calgary Women's Shelter, ARF, and the Calgary Humane Society. Our City has been great to us and helped us grow to what we are today, and we always want to give back.

I was not feeling too well after the piercing (I was very nervous) and the piercer went above and beyond to make sure I was ok. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I will recommend gypsy rose to all of my friends!

I just got a piercing done by Lucas - mind blown at his piercing skills.
He was very careful with placement, talked me through each step until I was pierced, and was genuinely concerned about my aftercare process to make sure my piercing didn’t get infected like it had in the past.
I inquired about some piercings that don’t heal well with my skin type, and he was honest and said he couldn’t in good conscious do them. He was so great and so honest!
As someone who has had many piercings over my life, Lucas is my absolute favourite.
I’m not going anywhere else for my piercing needs, and you shouldn’t either. :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Incredible tattoo shop! It is extremely clean and professional, but super welcoming. The decor is cute which is a plus. I had a tattoo done with Naia, and she did an AMAZING job. The lines look gorgeous and she captured all of the detail so well. She was so friendly the whole time and made me feel really comfortable, I had so much fun. My next tattoo with her is booked and I am so so excited!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lucas did an amazing job piercing my children’s ears in Dec 2021. He was professional (sanitizing, sterilizing, advising on the process to myself and my kids, jewellery selection etc.), plus he was kind and patient. This helped my kids stay calm and they couldn’t believe how quick the piercing itself was. Their first ear-piercings were a positive and exciting experience thanks to Lucas! The piercings look beautiful!! So, so, so happy we didn’t do the old-school piercing gun.

Walking into a pristine shop, I am always greeted by some of the friendliest staff! The artists and piercers are so talented, and all their work goes to show just how passionate they are about their jobs. Every single member of Gypsy Rose never fails to make me feel comfortable, and like a part of their family! So grateful to have found this place, and to have met some amazing people! Highly recommend!!!
