I purchased a second hand Godin guitar from a big music store. When I got the guitar it had a terrible action and very poor setup. I had received recommendations about the Guitar Repair Shack, so I dropped my new guitar off to see how having β€œa setup” done would improve the playability. As promised, 2 weeks later, my guitar was ready. The guitar now feels and plays like a dream and makes me feel more confident in my playing. It is so smooth and the string heights are so perfect, it is like a wizard has made this guitar play like a dream. In my opinion, this was worth every penny. Dougie is a friendly guy and very knowledgeable. Cool shop - 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Doug did a great repair on my Martin DCPA1 Plus. I arrived at 3:00pm on the dot, closing time, to find the doors locked. I called and explained that I drove an hour to pick up my guitar and was hoping they would open up quickly for me to get it. Doug happily opened back up for me so that I didn't have to make the long drive again the next day. Thanks Doug!

This place is just great. I never leave reviews but had to for these gentlemen. An interesting and sweet cast of characters work here (as to be expected from musicians) all very kind, with good stories. And Mike.. The amp tech is the best in the city, he's my guy through n through, thanks again fellas

Had a 5-string bass and an electric guitar set up here and I honestly did not know that they could sound this good. The guy I dealt with (forget his name) was very friendly and accomodating to someone that doesn't know a whole lot about guitars. Two weeks seemed reasonable and they clearly put a lot of focus and care into the details. Definitely coming here for setups and repairs and probably a weird bass guitar every couple years or so.

I have been taking my guitar here for about five years now. I put a lot of miles on it as a teacher and as a performer. These gents do solid work and know their stuff, and whenever my guitar hits a snag, it comes back to me in top condition. I always recommend students and colleagues to bring their repairs here. There is also a cool little shop with the most amazing vintage and unique guitars and basses for sale. Highly recommend.

Love these guys. I took a Japanese-made '65 Mustang reissue that I just couldn't get along with in to James. He got that thing playing so nice that now I can't put it down. Worth every penny. Thanks Guitar Repair Shack!
