Dr. Oleksandr Ielisov - General Dentist
Dr. Oleksandr Ielisov is originally from Ukraine, where he graduated from Bogomolets National Medical University in Kyiv City in 2007. He worked as a general dentist over the next 8 years, where he improved and honed his skills in contemporary methods of treatment. In 2015, Dr. Ielisov (or Dr. Alex as we like to call him) immigrated to Canada to improve his professional skills to an international level. Although, he was not able to practice dentistry upon his arrival, he worked hard as a dental technician as he prepared for the NDEB (The National Dental Examining Board of Canada).
Beginning in 2018, he began taking courses in Toronto and was able to successfully complete and pass all the NDEB exams in 2020, demonstrating his incredible dedication to the profession. He has worked extremely hard the past years to achieve the goal of becoming a licensed dentist in Canada. Dr. Alex joined Greenwoods Dental Centre in January 2021. He is known to be a very kind and caring person, who is very detail oriented with all his work. He definitely has a true passion for dentistry as a craft and as a profession. Dr Alex is keen on constantly increasing his knowledge and skills through courses and seminars.
In his free time, Dr. Alex he loves to spend quality time with his wife and two children, exploring the different cities Canada has to offer. He also enjoys playing sports, running, street dancing and listening to modern music.

β β β β β I went to greenwoods late last year for a cleaning. The hygienist was lovely and not the reason for my one star. He deserved five BUT the dentist who came in to check my teeth basically pointed out a very small cavity and told me to rebook to have it fixed. He did not talk about other solutions just to come have it drilled. Unfortunately I did come back to have him drill into my tooth after not being the most practiced with the needle. Since then that tooth has given me waaay more pain and issues than I ever had with my teeny tiny cavity. I no longer can chew anything sweet including fruit on that side without pain. I also learnt from a better dentist that being almost 30 years old and never having had a cavity before that drilling into my tooth was the wrong call. The dentist here doesn't care about your teeth, they just want to bill your insurance for as much as possible. Take your money/insurance somewhere else. Your reply that I was advised of a possible root canal is completely false as I was not told this and would be surprised to hear it as my current dentist said it was not needed. More proof that this clinic is full of it.

β β β β β Iβve been terrified of going to the dentist for years and I avoided it because of that. When It finally became the right time, I found Greenwoodβs Dental centre on Pembina. They have the friendliest and most professional staff. Everyone was kind and clear and made the experience the best it could be.
My dentist does great work, very little discomfort, listen to me when I ask questions and explains things well.
They have many options for people like me who are nervous or downright afraid a to go. Definitely give them a try.
I would personally recommend this location to anyone who needs a dentist, they are legitimately the best.

β β β β β The doctor and assistants are amazing at what they do, and they are super polite and make you feel safe all the time! Reception is fabulous and have a great sense of humour! Everyone there is super friendly, making the place very welcoming, calm, with a comfortable atmosphere.

β β β β β Got my dental check up and clean here, the hygienist is very friendly and helpful, she really cares about me and my feelings when I felt nervous about the sound. Staffs are also helpful, and I just want to mention that there are staff who speaks Chinese! That is so convenient for Chinese community! Absolutely 5 stars!

I got my teeth cleaned, and I had my root canal done with Dr. Oleksandr (Alex), he did a very good job, I felt that I was in good hands. Dr. Alex is an excellent dentist. He took the time to explain every procedure he was doing ??. He is very kind, caring and courteous.
The staff was helpful. Very welcoming and friendly.
Definitely coming back for tooth fillings very soon
I couldnβt be happier with the results. I would highly recommend to anyone!!!
