what is happening , doing this . My van is going up hill in " neutral " . Going up hill backwards is really hair raising .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To anyone who can't find it: the sign is infront of the house on the corner (my grandparent's) and the magnetc section is just south along the road, where the road starts to swerve. That is the magnet hill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This works! I've tried it lots. The trick is to watch for the line of birch trees that point north-ish. You have to approach this spot FROM the north, so these trees will be behind you when you're close to the right spot. Once you're at a smallish straight stretch of road that's heading uphill (facing southish), stop your car, put it into neutral, and watch as you will slowly begin to coast uphill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a bit hard to find at first but eventually found it. Absolutely works and is a very strange experience. I am wondering if there are any other experiences that the people living there have - in that area? Is there a scientific reason for this? The longer I left it in neutral, it did pick up speed. My daughter filmed it all for me!! Very interesting!!
