About Gorilla Fight Gear

For 15 years, Gorilla Fight Gear has been an innovative, family-owned retailer of combat equipment and technical fight apparel specializing in plus-size fight gear. We work directly with our manufacturers to create affordable, comfortable, safe, durable fight equipment and apparel.

We started our plus-size line after a client came to us needing gear to get back in shape, but at the time, we didn't have anything that would fit him. We even brought in different brands, but again nothing fit. That was when we decided to contact our manufacturer and create BJJ Gis for our bigger-sized clients. So now we are starting to expand our plus-size line into Muay Thai gear.
We brought in ultra-light ripstop BJJ Gis after a client came to us saying our current 550gram single weave Gi, which was considered a lightweight Gi at the time, was too hot to train in. So we started making 280gram ripstop Gis that ended up being the perfect Gi for travelling.
We brought in ultra-light youth Gis after a few local clubs contacted us stating that kids 4-7 did not want to wear the current kid's Gis and feared losing clients because of this. Bringing in our ultra-light youth BJJ Gis which is more comfortable and breathable, solved that issue.
We focus on making comfortable, durable protective equipment so our clients can focus on their story of becoming combat athletes.

There was an issue with the Gi I ordered so the team bent over backwards to fix the issues in a super quick fashion with a free upgraded Gi and shipping, at no extra cost. Canadians have a worldwide reputation of being a friendly helpful bunch, and this has been seen first hand by this happy Kiwi all the way in New Zealand. I will be recommending this company to everyone I know who is looking for Combat sports gear. Much appreciated.

My Fuji gi that costs about the same is easily twice the quality as far as workmanship and it’s been used and washed 300 times with almost no noticeable wear. Was offered a replacement that never came and it’s been two months. Would not order again.

Size chart worked great and provided me with a proper fitting gi. Mike contacted me to confirm i ordered the right belt as I picked a size under the normal when ordering and he shipped the one I needed. Great quality and great customer service thank you.

I was told to keep the black ones and the would send the correct ones out. I was hopeful about them correcting their error. When I received the "corrected" order I opened it and instead of white gi pants they sent me black shorts instead. Not even close to what I ordered. Now waiting to see if they will just refund my money because they messed up my order twice.

Number two good quality and fair prices. Number three and most importantly the customer service is ridiculous I’ve never had an experience with a owner/company that goes to such lengths to go out of their way to make sure YOU’RE happy with your order. I sincerely suggest using this business - even if you found something a little better price-wise or something along those lines a company with this level of customer service deserves to flourish.
