About Gordie Howe Kinsmen Arena
SL&P provides electrical service within the 1958 City boundary with the exception of the University of Saskatchewan, which is jointly serviced by SL&P and SaskPower. The areas outside the 1958 boundary are served by SaskPower.
As the boundaries intersect in some neighbourhoods, SL&P and SaskPower each provide service to the following areas: Airport Business Area, Arbor Creek, College Park East, CN Industrial, Erindale, Evergreen, North Industrial and Westview.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arena is decent enough but the food counter recently open up again. Had a piece of the lemon pie while watching my son play hockey. It was great. Like I was back in a small town hokey rink growing up feasting on home made pies. They had apple pie just coming out of the oven when we arrived. Perfect way to watch a hockey game.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic facility that sort of creates an equalizer in an otherwise confused and VERY segregated neighborhood. I honestly think that sports bridges the gaps a lot of the time and this is a good spot for a well maintained complex named after a guy who played fair but didn't take any garbage.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good ice surface, dressing rooms and arena for hockey. Seats are above the ice surface so you have to climb stairs. Parking is limited. Seating area is heated with overhead heating.
Covid protocol for this arena is that you must be fully vaccinated, show proof of vaccination with a photo ID. No concession at this time because of covid. City operated.Jan. 2022

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice bright, clean arena, with a good ice surface. Not very big, but there is a concession. It wasn't open this visit, so not sure what is served. Maybe next time! Not too cold because of overhead heaters.
