Good spot for a casual skate. Plenty of space outside and inside to lace up. We just left our boots under the bench outside - but there are lockers inside as well. Nice and well lit and had music playing (Rock 102 radio station)

Ice is a decent size but gets pretty crowded with beginner skaters and kids. Skate selection is okay and cost free rentals but the skates are not the best quality.(understandable given the place is run by donation) Very cute space. Staff is friendly enough but sometimes seem fed up with their job. Indoor is always warm (and crowded). I have never shoes/toques, etc. Stolen but if you are worried there are lockers. Proper bathrooms available nearby. I find the music a bit loud in the evenings. Parking can be difficult to find and expensive (because you are trying to park on main downtown road)

Took the grandkids down for their first time skating. It's a large, outdoor ice rink with a wood-heated warm up building and modern warm washrooms. There are skates & helmets to loan & lockers too. (Bring your own lock) Most patrons are just learning to skate or are beginners of all ages. There were a few fast skaters that were cautious around the beginners. It was busy, but people co-operated & everyone had fun. Very highly recommended for new skaters especially. No need to be shy or a pro either!

Loved my experience. It was pleasant and well organized. You need to book your time online prior to arrival due to covid. My only suggestion is to have a warm space for participants to put on their skates(my fingers almost froze).

We had a great time with our friends there. The temperature was around -10. There is a chance of borrowing skates from the office according to your shoe size. It’s free however you can donate if you want. They have a walker kind of thing that the beginners can use it. The office area is a room which has a wooden fireplace. It is warm but not enough oxygen there. Good for getting warm in 2 minutes and leave.

It is a great place for the whole family to skating. There is a wood stove in the shack.

Really great free thing to do in the winter and I love the Christmas event! Skate rental is free, but donations encouraged. Just wish the ice was a little better maintained. It's tough for us new skaters.

Beautiful site. Skates are available here by donation. Heated shack and seperate heated bathroom. Ice can be a bit bumpy. At night the area is beautifully lit. A must for every visit to Saskatoon in the winter.
