This is a beautiful, lesser-known green space with excellent trails (and likely even better for cross-country skiing). A bit of a journey to get there but it is well worth it! Watch out for ticks though (unless it is winter).

Was there this past weekend and the trails are infested by the gypsey moth. They hang down from the trees over all of the paths and are difficult to see unless you are constantly looking for them. They end on your clothes and in your hair. Despite these annoying looking caterpillars its a beautiful spot but these caterpillar like bugs are extremely annoying and spread rapidly if taken back to your home.

This is a beautiful park with long, well maintained trails for hiking and biking. The outdoor education center here was a staple of my childhood, and where I learned my fascination with nature. Great place to take your friends or dogs for a long walk. The trails are well marked and easily navigated, with signs and maps posted throughout. A shallow, slow moving river runs through the park, great for cooling your feet. Some of the trails are meant for mountain biking, and can be difficult to ride. Be careful of large roots where the trail has been worn down. Also, be sure to bring bug spray, as the mosquitoes can be a pain. All in all, this conservation area has a great trail, and I will be returning many times.

Great trails for all levels. Plenty of variety from tall pines to open fields. All well maintained and not mushy.

Great place for a little hike. Also dog friendly. Beautiful trails that are well kept. Couple bridges go over streams. One of the bridges is currently closed. Recommend for children of any age. Like any hiking trail make sure you check for ticks when you are done your hike.
