I enjoy this location. It is clean and equipment is plentiful for my routine. I don't agree with the reviews complaining about the front desk lady with short dark hair. I have always found her to be pleasant and polite to me. She seems to be a hard worker too, as I often see her on the floor cleaning, putting items away and restocking sanitization supplies. Overall a great gym

Most unique looking gym you'll ever see. But some machines are not maintained well

Beautiful gym with a unique vibe for workout! Front of house staff was super friendly and helpful (as I was visiting from out of town). No notable shortages in equipment for maintenance which is nice! This facility might be also one of the cleanest Goodlifes I’ve been to. A1 on cleanliness!

Literally the worst gym have fun fighting personal trainers who hog all the equipment and put there stuff on other machines to β€œsave” them while they take forever on another machine. This gym is small as it is why have a million personal trainers? Maybe close the gym for an hour for personal trainer hour opposed to making people pay for membership just to prioritize those who are getting personal training…

Me and my wife worked out here for 2 years. Great desk people, amazing personal trainers, beautiful location, but when her membership had troubles in their system, we were sent to this girl β€œAdriana” and her horrible customer service got us moving to a different franchise, we felt her communication, (phone and a email we were shown) was biased and very little professional, as like she didn’t care if we stayed so we left. If you decide to workout here and cross with her, hopefully you have a better experience than us. Thanks to the rest of the personnel there, you guys are great.

Warning: long + detailed post! TL: DR - good location + hours + staff, worth upgrading to Premium Membership due to price differences, aesthetically the nicest gym you will ever go to, mostly clean location. UPDATE: hours have been updated online...see pic. Detailed Review: I've been a member with this gym in 4 major cities/3 provinces across the country and this is aesthetically the nicest GoodLife gym I have ever been to! NOTE: this place is SO nice that people are constantly taking pictures so if you are sensitive about your photo being taken then beware! Yes, you need proof of vaccination, even to just enter the premise for a tour! Staff at front desk are nice and approachable if you have any questions or concerns, and it's usually the same 5-6 people so you always see a familiar face. This location has change rooms, showers, dry sauna (UPDATE: sauna now works but according to other gym members it has stopped working in the past...) lockers (bring your own lock) massage chairs (never used them myself but have seen others use it), personal trainers (good deal right now when you sign up, I've seen many new people with trainers lately) bike room with virtual/on-demand classes, free weights area on upper floor with other gym equipment, main floor has tons of cardio machines (treadmills, bikes, stair master, etc) stretching area, and various equipment/weights/machines to help workout all areas of body. Also some classes still running during COVID but they're all during the day but I think they also offer virtual/on-demand classes? (on lower level where change rooms are). "Designated" lockers available for rental $10 biweekly in a seperate area on lower level. People who go to this location are diverse in age/background/body types/fitness goals and feels welcoming as a result. Everyone seems to be wiping down the stations they use with the exception of dumbbells + weights used for certain workout equipment like the squat machine. Some people struggle with social distancing especially in the free weights area and in the "20 minute workout" machine area in the back of the main floor, and sometimes on the treadmills. Hours of operation during COVID for this location and gym are definitely better compared to their competition in downtown Calgary, but they are closed on some holidays such as Thanksgiving. Do your research for prices when you're on their website as some locations, including this one, charge more for the base fare "Essential Membership" (as your "home gym") compared to other GoodLife locations ex: $26.99 vs $29.99 biweekly. It's a $2 difference biweekly if you upgrade to their "Premium Membership" which allows you to use other GoodLife gym locations across the country ex $29.99 vs $31.99 biweekly (also should have towel service but supposedly not available during pandemic?) For me, it was worth the upgrade only because the base fare was already expensive, but if this location had the $26.99 biweekly option then I honestly would've stuck with that instead and be stuck using this one location as my "home gym". You can technically be on the "Essential Membership" and use other locations but each time you do they charge an additional $5. I have seen staff a few times clean/wipe down equipment, the lockers inside of the change rooms, and the stairs between the upper and main floor when the gym is in the last 1-2 hours of closing, and have also seen the cleaner sweep/mop the main floor but I don't think they do the lower floor/stairs (I've seen the exact same clear plastic wrapper from a straw on the stairs 5 days straight on the lower level...) I don't think showers are cleaned, or at least not very often based on what I've seen these past few weeks. Overall, I recommend going to this gym and this particular location!

As a visitor from Toronto, this gym was an attraction of its own during my visit to Calgary. Apparently this was a converted BMO - still has the original vault and fixtures which made working out here really fun. Especially liked the touch of keeping the 60s vibe on the signage. Only downside was that there wasn’t a ton of new weight equipment (like the padded lifting platforms) in other gyms. I worked out here post vaccine passport so the gym wasn’t busy at all (lol).

[UPDATED!] First of all I love this gym and all my next comments is wishing to see this gym better No1. No hack squad machine which I believe it’s important. No2. Dumbbells are up to 75lb!! I believe we need more at least up to 100lb No.3 shoulder press bench is only one!! Other than that everything this is awesome, the gym is so clean, well arranged all the time, trainees really know what to do. I love it.
