L	Leah Morgan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Showed up on the last hour they were open to a bright and cheery (and clean!!) restaurant. Hot tea left directly on the table to steep while we looked at the huge menu with tons of choices and lots of combo plates. Food was super hot and very tasty. Only tiny negative is nothing was served with rice (included). The Ginger Beef was a bit tough but flavor of the sauce was delicious. Our table mates loved their combo selections that included sweet and sour pork with many chucks of pineapple and peppers, chop suey with with tender chicken chunks and plenty of mixed veggies. The chow mein was really good! Not soggy but pan fried just perfectly! Restaurant stayed busy while we were there. Definitely a delicious spot!

Their quality of service was also excellent. The young man working the front desk was kind and courteous and even complemented my kids Fortnite t-shirt. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for good tasting and authentic Chinese cuisine.

There are 4 aisles and everyone that came in the morning got seated in the middle so they only have to use 1 asile to serve both sides. We had baby stroller beside table and we got asked to move the stroller to the other side because it's in their way when serving, they are too lazy to go around the baby stroller to the other side. It takes an extra 5 steps to the other aisle. We got served raw meat, RAW. Imagine raw beyond meat patty. Yup. Almost all of food is cold or Luke warm and the resturant only had 5 tables when we came in the morning. This means they premade food and barely warmed it up, could be left overs, yesterday, or from the morning. I'll never know but I don't ever want to know. I'll leave it at that as my experience.

Nealy as good as mall foodm. You should change the restaurant name and not ride on the success of the old business. This is the $20 House Special Chow Mein. It is missing the part that makes it specail...

S	S Mah on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic meal last nite. We arrived for a late dinner (around 9pm) but they open till 11pm so that was fantastic. Both servers that helped us were extremely friendly I was craving for seafood and she gave us her honest opinion of what was fresh ...we went for the BC Dungeness crab. She suggested this special way of cooking it, fried rice steam in the lotus leaf..crab has fried garlic bits and on too of the crab Is smooth , light flavourful egg whites...just incredible. We added a combo A ...can't go wrong with combo A ( ss pork, fried rice and chicken chop suey) , a bowl of Fish maw and crab meat soup. I love this soup and it came out piping hot ... ask for , on the side, a little red vinegar and white pepper makes it's really out of this world. Finally the server, on the house, added a dessert for us ..I was in luck I'm not a big fan of the normal red bean soup but tonite was hot coconut tapioca with taro dessert soup ? enjoy ps looks like restaurant has been renovated no more red table clothes and now has nice clean floors too.

She not only makes the old Golden City Restaurant shine again, she makes Victoria look good to the tourists. Keep it up. ?
