★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We contacted Gilbertson Davis for a litigation matter.
In the beginning they were very helpful, repeating every email that untill the payment was provided they were not retained.
Finally we provided the payment and signed the contract and they told us out of the blue that some lawyers have gone away (2 in one month!??) and they did not have a lawyer that could assist us.
Moreover they did not accept our retainer for some reasons (they could have accepted and sent back the next day) and we took 20 days to receive it back from our bank after their refusal.
Finding a good lawyer in Ontario is very difficult, but after this stressful experience I will not recommend this Firm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having moved outside Canada and dealing with a legal case in Canada, it was difficult to find a good attorney and we had some apprehension about being represented in Canada by someone we have never met in person. We searched a lot online, had initial consultation with a few attorneys from different firms and eventually signed the retainer with Fatima whose company locates in a different city from my case. From day one, Fatima, was there for us: thorough, honest, responsive, upfront, patient, professional and caring after our situation. It is VERY difficult to put a price on peace of mind after a terrible ordeal - some of you may relate. Fatima helped us resolve the case and through this we can start to move on with our lives.
