AVOID AVOID AVOID if you can take the time and read this comment, I would really appreciate it. Back in April, I went to see a studio for the overdale project located in downtown Montreal because my sister is moving to Montreal. So, I met Dérek Baril, real estate broker, in April to go see an apartment. My sister really like the place and decided she wanted to take the place. We told Dérek that we were interested and he told us to pay a deposit before signing the lease. We accepted, paid the deposit and I saw Dérek with my own eyes reserve the apartment. The next step was for my sister to sign the lease. My sister messaged Dérek and he clearly stated in his message that he can send her the lease by email or she can sign the lease in person. My sister chose to sign the lease in person and Dérek accepted that she signs the lease on July 1st which is move in day. Fast forward, on the weekend of before July 1st, I personally messaged Dérek asking him if I could pick up the keys for my sisters apartment before she arrives on July 1st. Dérek said yes, he will be available from 9 am to 5 pm on Monday July 1st to go pick up the keys. Bare in mind this is all happening on a Saturday. Come Monday at around noon time, I messaged Dérek to go pick up my sisters keys and I noticed a delay in his response. He then replies by saying that he apologizes but he thought my sister's lease was for July 1st and that the unit is not yer ready. Here is where he messed up and really screwed us over, it turns out they never took the deposit and gave the apartment to someone else without even informing my sister and his excuses was that he wasn't gonna go around reminding every person to sign a lease. My sister had packed all her stuff and was ready to move and he left us alongside his management, more specifically a lady called Laurence, in utter humiliation. He then has the audacity to tell me that my sister should go look for a new place when I was repeatedly telling him to find a solution to his mistake. I also wanna take this chance to call out Laurence. A lady with a horrible attitude and zero management skills. I will never understand how these two individuals were even hired in the first place. Thank you so much for reading this entirely. I felt the need to let everyone know because I was humiliated and embarrassed by the management of this project. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Very rude staff, not to mention their immense unprofessionalism. My friend was moving in and they AGREED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS to let her sign the lease on the first of July (more specifically Laurence and Derek) and then on the SAME DAY she was moving, they told her there’s no apartment? Keeping in mind we tried to communicate and the staff was completly rude, unprofessional and told us “we might have to ask you to leave” when we went to see them to discuss where my friend was gonna stay at......................AVOID THIS AGENCY

NEVER rent from this company ESPECIALLY if it's for buildings that are still being built and that are promised to be "ready in time for the move". We've all moved in on July 1st, as we were promised we would be able to do. When we arrived to collect our keys on July 1st, they gave us instructions on how to connect to the wifi and where our A/C remote would be. They didn't indicate that anything would be wrong. When we all realized that we were missing stoves, fridges, wifi, A/C, doors, screens, the outdoor areas they sold so enthusiastically, we all asked them about it and they said no problem! Should all be fixed in 2 days max and the terrasses will be up and running within a week. Yesterday, July 2nd we received an e-mail saying we wouldn't be getting wifi for 2 weeks, the outdoor space would be ready in 2 months, and the a/c would be up on the 6th. It is currently 33 degrees in my apartment with the windows open, fan on, door open, and shades down. And it's only 23 degrees outside. I can't sleep, I can't move for too long or I get dizzy, I can't be in there too long or I feel faint. And once that's just 1 thing that's missing. We are paying an exuberant amount of money for a studio apartment because of all the amenities they promised us, and we won't be getting most of them for at the very least 2 weeks (I don't trust AT ALL that it'll be done by the dates they give us). Some people don't even have fridges or stoves to cook on. Imagine moving to Montreal all alone and having no where else to go, and paying 1k to live in an empty sauna. Lesson learned; I'm never renting from LeLogeur again, and I'm definitely never signing a lease to an apartment that hasn't been built yet.

The rental properties that they offer are nice ( depending on the sector ). However they are going against provincial laws by requesting all sorts of deposits. They will refuse you ( which was not my case ) if you don't comply ... But be advised that it is your legal right to refuse deposits for keys and other things such as the controller for garage and a/c. Most of us got the deposit back one month after leaving . Very confusing at times.

Update: They recognized their error, and agreed to credit me what is due. Still communication has been laggy both between them to I - and from them to the owner of the apartment. Now in direct contact with owner and things are moving along quickly. —- They request direct deposit on the 1st of each month but then overcharge. When I called to discuss the extra charge (maybe a one time service fee?), they tried to tell me it is a monthly fee and I signed for it (I didn’t) and when I refuted this they put me on hold and then hung up. I called three times to be exact and three times i was put on indefinite hold. Services promised before move in date haven’t been delivered, and we are 3 weeks in now. I complained, no callbacks, no distinct communication, mystery fees, and when existent, rude customer service. Would not recommend

I rented an apartment with leLogeur for almost 3yrs and every year they'd increase the rent by at least 75$ more a Month with no changes at all. AVOID AVOID AVOID... I spent 3yrs waiting for them to keep their promises and install a buzzer for the main entrance door, all the windows had to be changed but was never done only promises!! Their apartments are not properly isolated during winter and they could careless as long as you pay your rent. Poor customer service , very bad company!! Mediocre mediocre mediocre , basically if u rent from them and you happen to have issue with the apartment it's on you..

Having worked with Wanda from beginning to end, I can only say good things. Based on my understanding management has changed since a lot of these past negatives comments and I think hiring someone like Wanda was exactly what this company needed to bring up their reputation. Keep up the good work!
