Georgian College

My experience on campus was very poor, no help from the instructors just redirection. The biology instructor handed us surveys to do I the FIRST DAY of class when he was so nice, informative and polite then wound up being our WORST instructor and he had already handed our surveys in. My online classes were litterly just selective on what they would reply to I finally spoke with the dean and the instructor finally answered my email from the first day. Upon graduation they asked for rsvp so I replied yes and they would not help in anyway with getting our convocation letters from our student account which is now not able to be accessed from me so when asking they repeated the response of telling me where to get it instead of offering assistance as to me being unable to get the letters. This school is a 100% joke Bracebridge georgian college is AMAZING this one I would never wish this joke of a school on anyone. Due to my working in LTC I had to quit my job to even finish becuase they wouldn't let me complete my hours where I worked. I don't regret taking the course I did I only regret taking it at this location. They belittle, talk down, disrespect and go out of their way to make you feel like your lower then them or dumb. It's a joke almost everyone in my class agrees with me and half the class dropped out the first 2 weeks because they were that awful. This is the start of the issue with the psw shortage which is a shame!

The campus infrastructure is awesome and the staff is great. Personally, I had great experience using all the amenities like library and helping centre. The only problem is to look for a co-op which depends on us. Parking lots readily accessible and markets are nearby.

The college is just too expensive with an unresponsive staff. Would not recommend anyone going here. I had a course with a coop. I found the coop but had literally 0 help from the college. They just want your money and the office of the registrar is really rude and unresponsive you have to wait for their email like for 2-3 weeks. I had 4 months left in my course and they took insurance money from me for a year. I asked them about it simply refused to give any help had to pay it forcefully. WONT RECOMMEND ANY INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS TO GO HERE. AND THEY HAVE A LOT OF FAKE REVIEWS WITHOUT THEM THEY WOULDN'T EVEN HAVE 2 STARS

I went through a diploma, and my experience was okay. The course and teachers were great, everything else was garbage. You expect more from a college charging as much as they do and asking for more money. Good luck dealing with the front office staff for anything (student card, money back for issues the school messed up), you always get referred to someone else to get back to you, which never happens. I paid for benefits through the school not knowing, and then when I found out I had them and went to use them for medical reasons, they did not work and did not get resolved even when my program finished 2 semesters later, at which point I was so relieved to be out of that place I never reached back out for money back. Maybe it’s not much different at other colleges, but would hope it is. From others experiences, they also paid the same price for all the institution fees like cleaning, lab, gym, even though they did not set foot on the campus once for 4 plus semesters. Just ridiculous

Georgian College is only interested in making money and don't care about honoring a TRUE college experience. Existing President pending retirement after 30 years speaks volumes of the college's antiquated values. Hiding poor performance and inept trainers behind Covid protocol excuses is tired and lame and even when restrictions were relaxed, NOTHING was open to in person learning. No assistance truly offered to co-op students other than a lame reposting of jobs from other websites. WITH NOTHING TO DO IN YEAR TWO of her registered program, Daughter signed up for an additional course then two weeks later accepted a coop placement offer that she found on her own. What did college do except say NO to refund in course she was now double booked for and also denied by registrars office when a simple CREDIT towards future course was requested. This is not a good place to attend, and we will be moving our children to other institutions going forward. We do NOT recommend Georgian. College was some of the best memories of my life, and I'm glad I didn't go to Georgian! Daughter is crushed. Off to CTV news to get this exposed and create some momentum for on site protests!

Today I called the registrars office to continue my studies after a semester off. I asked very simple questions to the person who took my call. Do I need to pay for an enrolment deposit? Is my account on hold? She showed me where to check on my student account. As I was already on the Georgian site. I asked if she can just stay on the line while I confirmed my account and active. To which she audibly sighed. When I asked what was wrong she said they close in 5 mins. This request would have taken 30 seconds. I have enjoyed my experience at Georgian college. I am a high achieving student. But this paints a pretty accurate representation of the college experience at Georgian. Professors and Program Coordinators have been helpful with me, but the support from the college has consistently been appalling. This is the most recent example of dozens of instances over my 3 years at Georgian where it is clear that the institution does not care about your well-being. Rather, they do what’s easy. I was made to feel like I was in the wrong for calling 10 mins before the office closed. Imagine how that would go in other industries? As a general note for prospective students/parents thinking about Georgian…just do your homework. They will not hold your hand through the process. Rather, they will consistently let you down and make your student experience even harder. The education I received (in person) has been excellent. But the virtual experience has been awful. It really feels like no formal training was given to these professors about how to teach a class online or how to use technology to enhance a students experience. If you believe (like I do) that virtual learning is here to stay, I would advise extreme caution if you are thinking about attending Georgian college.

I got a new pair of dentures from Nadin and she did an amazing job. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a new pair. The best part is the consultation is FREE! I am going to tell all of my friends about this pleasant service. Thank you again Nadin!

I applied for this college through the agency. I am looking forward to admission in the fall, but my family cannot pay for my future study fees for some reasons. I wrote an email to the school department and I need to refund my First Payment Due $2500 CAD. The college department asked me to Filled out the program withdrawal, they said they are willing to refund, after two months, I asked where is my refund going? But I never replied to my email again. My agent wrote me a letter to ask the school again, and the school responded. I paid for the tuition, why do I need to go through someone else to know that I can't get a refund? But the admission letter clearly states that a full refund can be made before admission. I don't understand. Although I haven't entered Canada, my happiness has turned into disappointment. I don't recommend anyone to come here. They won't receive the money. Email me back, so may you pay me back? After reading the comments,it turns out that everyone can't receive a refund like me, which makes me even more dumbfounded
