P	Paul Considine on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've lived in and around the area most of my life and although I've been down to Genoa Bay many times, I've only had the occasional lunch at the cafe. The lunches were always a nice break from the hustle and bustle of other restaurant clustered areas. It's a cozy environment that certainly works for any daytime meal. Being our anniversary recently, we decided to have an evening dinner at the cafe. We had such a wonderful evening with really really good food, a wonderful maitre d, and delightful servers! I would highly recommend the windy pristine drive down to a little place that seems so untouched but has many good surprises in the end. If you're a boater, you gotta tie up for a beverage sometime!

They were fully booked indoors, but as we had brought jackets, accepted the offer to dine on the deck that is attached to the dock. Now the good news... The schnitzel special was awesome! Ditto, nay, double ditto, the truffle parmesan fries appetizer that was more than enough to share. No other fries will ever compare. The outdoor setting is beautiful and despite the slightly chilly April evening, it was a delicious surprise bit of fine dining. The service was nothing short of professional and cordial. Don't come prepared for pub food; the drive deserves a lot better than that. And the Genoa Bay Cafe delivers it.

The flatbread was topped with an odyssey of flavours and the crème brûlée was so good - I had to refrain from licking the bowl. My co-diner had the burger and finished with carrot cake and now I’m compelled to go back and try more menu items. The winding, scenic ride is totally worth it to find this gem.

Our waitress Diane was very knowledgeable of the area and explained how the views change with the tides. The food was delightful totally different to what we expected. A first class chef for sure. Make sure you drop by you won’t be disappointed.
