Stayed for a wedding, plenty of space for all of us. The surrounding grounds, equally as stunning as the house. Would be difficult for wheelchair access for the toilet and accessing the home, just an FYI.

If you love the outdoors, this venue is for you! Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, you can think of that you may possibly need (from garment steamers, to board games, to rubber boots) is all there, so you won’t need to pack bulky items. Even if you did forget something, the city of Duncan is just a 5 minute drive away for a quick errand run. All of our guests were so blown away by the property and its amenities – it’s no wonder this place gets booked up so quickly! The outdoor bathrooms were such a nice touch – very clean and modern! The place is super quiet that you can hear the birds chirping from the estuary and bird sanctuary. We would go back without hesitation. Highly recommend for any event!

Always a pleasure to enjoy the nature sanctuary, gorgeous grounds and amenities, and the peaceful private elegance of this historic gem of a Cowichan Valley property!

The house has everything you'd ever need with a full kitchen and even a wood fired pizza oven which we had a lot of fun using for making dinner. In the evening we made a cozy fire in the living room and then relaxed in the sauna. Susan, our host, was very friendly and always available to help answer any questions we had. We're looking forward to our next stay there and highly recommend it for those wanting a memorable escape. Anny & Brian

We rented the guesthouse for my partner's 40th birthday and a friends-giving celebration over the October long weekend, and it far exceeded our expectations. The indoor and outdoor fireplaces were perfect for cozy fall days, and the large BBQ & wood fired pizza oven were ideal for group meals! The long dining table and FULLY stocked kitchen were exactly what we needed for our Thanksgiving dinner. Tonnes of sleeping space and plenty of room for cots/ blow-up-mattresses for extra guests if need be. Would definitely recommend for group gatherings and celebrations. 10/10 experience. Thanks for an amazing weekend!! :)
