Terrible wait time. Appointment time means nothing! 3 -4 hour wait! I will never return! My time is important too! Will advise my optometrist not to refer anyone else to this place! They removed a cataract from one eye, was there for check up......will go blind before I ever return! Not comfortable with eye. have to see other specialist to check. I think a student did my cataract surgery.

I attended the Urgent Eye Centre on August 23, 2020. Dr. J.Rahman was the eye specialist on call for the city and province. I was the last of her patients at the end of a hectic work day. Despite that, she was courteous, unhurried, and thorough in her history taking and examination. She also discussed her opinion and recommendations which included a blood test for the 24th. She promised to keep my family physician and optometrist informed.She was also very sensitive to my hearing impairment as were her assistants, Cheryl and MJ, who were equally courteous Today, the 25th, Dr. Rahman shared the results of the blood test and her suggestions for follow-up: I would rank her among the best professionals I have met. To her, Cheryl and MJ, my grateful thanks.

Always, Great doctors, friendly staff! That being said... REALLY hard to get an appointment, when they answer the phone AND after forever of messages!!! Really Loooong bus ride! Anyway, I gave them only 4 stars because they do NOT direct bill. HELLO! It's 2021! Get with the times! Their machine was down, so I had to call them back to pay... :P LOL!

I had been referred to the Gem Clinic to see Dr. Aguayo for laser treatment for one of my eyes before safely going ahead to get a new prescription for eyeglasses. An amazing clinic - the staff friendly, knowledgeable, professional. It was treat in itself to experience the up-to-date technology they had. There was no limit to any questions I might have had. I believe I asked more questions about their amazing equipment and methods. Dr. Aguayo made sure that I understood every step he was taking and why. A big Thank you to Dr. Aguayo and staff.

I had a small piece of metal stuck in my eye. My doctor couldn't get it out. They called Gem Clinic late in the day. Dr Aguayo stayed past closing and I was able to get seen right away. Dr. Aguayo got the piece out in under a minute and overall was a great experience. Highly recommend this clinic.

The staff are very efficient, professional & friendly. I have to travel to Winnipeg for this appointment to the GEM Clinic. The clinic staff makes you comfortable the moment you enter the office. Dr. Aguayo is extremely thorough, takes the time to answer questions, explain everything & is very personable. I would highly recommend GEM Clinic.

my wife drove over an hour for this appointment, that we have been waiting for 3 months to get some help. all for them to tell us the exact same thing our local eye doctor told us. they totally dismissed what our doc said, we got referred here. told to do the EXACT same treatment that she has been doing for months that has not helped. was suppose to come here for answers. very dissatisfied.

Well, the communication to the patient is really bad. Like when we go the dental clinic they always tell us before hand much the payment or the procedure would cost. They did some tests I don’t know what and hand me over 100 dollar bill. Communicate to the patient what you are doing , what is the reason for the test and how much it would cost.Also, my appointment was a follow up only. I did not even knew that I would have to pay for some tests. If you direct bill it is necessary to tell the patient so that he/she knows that it would be covered by insurance or not. I did not have insurance which led me to pay 100 dollar on spot without notice. Extremely unsatisfied with their service and poor communication.
