★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 65 taps, friendly staff, friendly locals. We had limited time in Victoria due to a snafu with our ship. Most shops were closed by the time we got into town and we were walking back to the shuttle when we decided we at least had to have a drink while there. Lucky for us we chose this pub. Would definitely come here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service is extremely lacking. Sign says wait to be seated but we were told to find ourselves a table,l. Nearly 15 minutes passed before our server greeted us and we still didn’t even have menus because we couldn’t access the QR codes without the WiFi password! Asking questions came with minimal info and our server seemed to not care to help us after we canceled the salad we ordered before realizing our sandwiches would come with them.
Food was good and atmosphere was nice but the service was soo poor.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited over 20 pubs in Victoria on our vacation and this was one of the best. Classic old school charm in the heart of downtown. It's the 'locals' pub and definitely one to hit. Cozy fireplace in the back and some of the absolute best clam chowder in the city. It's literally a meal in itself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was busy Saturday night but our server arranged table for us immediately. Tasty food with vegetarian options. My husband tried 1516 beer and it was amazing. They have a large selection of brewing .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little casual spot - something for everybody whether food or drinks if you are visiting with a group. I was there on a Friday night and it was bumping, our server was WORKIN hard and checked on us regularly despite obviously being pulled in many directions as the place was full. Always get treated excellent here from the welcome right up to when you leave. Casual place with great vibes, attentive and friendly service, and extensive food and drink menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a disappointing experience at an earlier pub, we decided to go to Garrick's Head. A good choice to say the least. The selection of drink options as well as food where very good. Right in downtown Victoria the vibe and location are great. The cherry on top of everything was our server, Vanessa, she had a great additude and was always making sure we were happy and had everything.
Recommend to anyone visiting Victoria, BC!
