FYidoctors - Whistler - Doctors of Optometry

I have known Cara a few years now after having met her at the Whistler Spring & Winter Trade shows organized by the Whistler Chamber of Commerce. Cara was kind enough to adjust my slightly rustic frame when my own optometrist refused to do so. She performed magic. When I needed new lenses and a new frame I could not think of anyone better to look after my requirements. I made an appointment and drove from Vancouver to Whistler to receive the service I wanted. FYidoctors and Dr. Shea are awesome! I stupidly brought only contacts for my right eye, and they were able to squeeze me in for a quick appointment, did a complete eye exam, and found me enough samples to keep me skiing until I got back to Vancouver. Really friendly and great attention to covid protocols, everything was cleaned between patients. Thanks you all!

Post by Anca: My family and I have been using ther services for more than I can remember. Maybe around 10 years, way before they became part of FYIdoctors.. I always, with no exception, had an amazing experience with Dr.Cindy Wagner and Alissa. We recently had an eye exam scheduled for one of my daughters and she proved to need a small prescription. Especially after her concussion from about a month ago.... We got her 2 pairs of frames(Buy 1 and get 30% off the 2nd one). Thanks to their notes on my file, I was able to get a 30% off my frames and lenses too. The promo was only but 1 get 1 for 30%off so the 3rd pair would have been full price again... So, as a result of the notes on my file, left by Alissa, I ended up with the 3rd pair of glasses ordered that day. I really appreciate how much care Alissa takes for myself and my family to makes sure I feel at ease and feel treated fairly as an older customer. It definitely made it easier and having a higher incentive to buy my extra pair. My daugher is super excited to wear glasses , one pair with transition lenses as she could get the 2 favourite frames :-). My 2nd daughter has been wearing glasses since she was 6 months old. Same story, regardless how young she was and how wonedrous in the clinic,the team there always made sure her glasses adjustments were perfect before discarging her ,made sure that the repairs made to her glasses were customized based on her age need(different nose pads,etc) All these were possible only thanks to their whole team high customer service and the trust we developed over years. Thank you to all the team members that helped me on Saturday and to Alissa. The management should be aware how invaluable they are for the team here in Whistler.If it weren't for their continuous highly customer service and help, I would have probably ordered just a pair for my daugther that day and none for me.. I saw Dr. Mitchell Bennett and he was so lovely. Very professional, explained everything in layman's terms and put any worries at ease. The receptionists are always friendly, and go out of their way to ensure you feel welcome. The lense and frame technicians aren't happy until you're happy! They help you pick out the perfect pair and allow you to take all the time you need. Every time I get new glasses there I make a slightly bolder choice with their help and I am showered with compliments after. They also do a lot of follow up with you, checking in after a few weeks to make sure your glasses are still fitting well and that there are no issues. I feel totally cared for!

Highly recommend FYI Doctors for great service. I have been going to them since 2002 and they continue to make the process easy and straightforward for both glasses and contact lenses. The environment is friendly and professional, great eyewear selection and prompt service. Thanks Alissa & Luisa for always helping me narrow down which frames work best and Alissa for your outstanding attention to detail when it comes to fitting new glasses, always greatly appreciated.

I had a great experience with the super professional team at FYi Doctors Whistler. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of an eye exam and/or new glasses or shades.

The service at this place was amazing. I had a very painful eye injury and didn't have an appointment, however, the staff was able to quickly squeeze me in so that the doctor could see me. Dr Shea was wonderful, she explained everything well, got rid of my pain, and even called me the next day to make sure everything was ok. The staff was super friendly as well!
