★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super cute shop with all sorts of items for sale. All seemed to be very good quality. Both ladies working there were very friendly and helpful. If you are going through Wells, it is definitely worth your time to stop in for a look.

Side note: The owner's husband was also the 'proprietor' of the St. George Hotel in Barkerville where we were staying and when he saw us there he immediately went into his 'Barkerville character', which was really cool and fun! (So to them we say: Thanks for helping us to have a great time in your town!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We've had a few shoots in The Cariboo region, Cheryl and Dave have become a friends. They are what we all hope to find when visiting beautiful places. They are kind, encompass hospitality, and have a deep knowledge and love for the region which is invaluable for those visiting it. Their places are homely, warm, and welcoming, and would be a missed opportunity if not experienced in Wells. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ this is a joint review for Frog on the Bog as well as Willow River Inn (the accommodations above the Frog on the Bog) which i couldn’t find a page for.
my party and I arrived in Wells at on a Saturday afternoon after a hard week on the Bowron Lakes Circuit, in desperate need of a shower and hoping for some beds to sleep in for a night before heading home the following day. Cheryl was incredibly kind and accommodating, offering us the adorable guest suite above Frog on the Bog at a generous price (we were incredibly lucky that there was a last minute cancellation for this particular weekend which left the suite available). the suite was charming, clean, and conveniently located right next to the local pub (karaoke on saturday nights!) and right above where you can get the best carrot cake you’ve ever tasted (along with other homemade baked goods!).
the gift shop makes for a fun peruse, we purchased a thoughtful ceramic frog for a garden gift. definitely worth stopping by. Thank you Cheryl and company for the hospitality, we can’t thank you enough.
