★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would come back for the food. The best dishes were the smoked chicken, lamb ribs, okra and the corn bread! Unfortunately, it was understaffed (there was one waitress for the whole restaurant and it was busy), our last dish came after we had finished all the other dishes (we ordered them all at the same time) and the black chairs are very uncomfortable (they seem second hand and very well used; the middle of the seats sink in very low, but the edges are wooden). If they sorted out these issues, I would rate them higher.

The dishes are authentic to the region. Many specialty dishes we tried are all good tasting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friend found this Chinese restaurant on Google from the amazing reviews and it happens to be somewhere I have been before. Every dish was absolutely amazing!! My Canadian friends enjoyed everything I ordered! Beef broccoli was crispy and fresh. Kung Pao Chicken was a hit, nothing you can find in a normal Chinese restaurant, perfect ratio of nuts and chicken with the right flavor. Pork shoulder was surprisingly well cooked and tender, so you can easily cut them into small pieces and the flavor was just perfect, not too salty or too sweet. Sour cabbage dish was my favorite because it tastes so authentic and that’s exactly how it would taste when you to go northeastern China. We had a very authentic experience there and as my friend said, if you see the house is full of Chinese people, you know that Chinese restaurant is definitely good, and that’s what you will see in Fresh Taste corner.
