Dropped in for a late dinner with my parents. What a gem! Fantastic food and such a lovely lady serving us. I highly recommend this place and will be back!

After our regular restaurant food quality went down we decided to try out this hidden little gem. Delicious Chinese food made to order . Tried ginger beef, snow peas in garlic sauce, salt and pepper squid . It was amazing. This will be our new Chinese go to . Worth a try !

Delicious food at very reasonable prices. I had the wonton noodles with beef brisket and the beef was tender, noodles just right and the wontons flavorful. Yummy comfort food and the hostess was very nice.

Don’t let the nondescript and humble outside appearance of this restaurant fool you as they serve the most delicious Chinese food in Calgary. I have been coming here for over 20 years now and I have yet to be disappointed. The servings are generous and pricing very reasonable but most of all, the food is just that good! I don’t know how else to describe the food here but I just love this place so much. The service has always been very welcoming and so personal even though the lone server is always busy tending to the customers and answering the phone at the same time. The last time we dined in, we had our usual must-eats: the stinky and pungent and putrid but oh sooooo good Dried Fish and Chicken Fried Rice, our favourite Crispy Cantonese Seafood and Meat Chow Mien, the ever- present-every-time-we-eat-here nuclear Spicy Steamed Chicken and to change it up a little, we ordered something new - Salt and Pepper Pork Ribs. It was good but I like the Salt and Pepper Pork Chops better. My other favourites are: Salt and Pepper Squid or Salt and Pepper Seafood, Singapore Noodles, Fried Rice Noodles in Chef Special Sauce, Satay Beef Shanghai Noodles, Fried Tofu in Chef Special Sauce, Ginger Beef and the Special Fried Rice. They have the best fried rice in town for sure - smoky and so flavourful. When you’re dining in or ordering for a few people, always request the family size version of their dishes for a few dollars more. I cannot wait to dine in once again as I am missing this place so much!

This is my favourite Chinese food in Calgary and I've been eating here since the late 90s! My favourite things on the menu are the Szechuan style fried Shanghai noodles, the palace style chicken, which is amazing and their special egg Foo Young. I've tried a ton of other items and have loved most. The ginger beef if super gingery and tasty without being cloyingly sweet. Green onion pancakes.. I could go on.

Large food portion and reasonable prices. This is my comfort food as I come here once a while since 90’s. Although Owner changed, i can still feel their traditional HK style food.

I’ve been coming to Fat Kee for years for the beef ho fan (chow fun), and they never disappoint. Seeing as this is a Cantonese noodle house, I ordered the shrimp wonton noodle soup. A solid dish featuring a lovely flavourful golden broth, snappy shrimp and pork dumplings, and those toothsome thin egg noodles. But like I said at the beginning, this is the place for beef ho fan. The best beef ho fan will always have an amazing wok hei, or breath of the wok, and this one has it. There are 3 factors that make for an amazing wok hei: blazing heat, a very well seasoned wok, and a master chef that can control the nuances of the other 2 to create an amazing flavour to this dish. Rice noodles are already one of the hardest noodles to cook in the wok, so it’s easy to forget the skills that go into making this dish. Delicious.
