Very friendly and a lot of fun to work with, he'll collaborate with you to get all the details just right for any custom piece you want. Ever since we got engagement rings custom made years ago, we'd never look anywhere else for special jewellery. Recently Michael and his team made a very special ring for us, and it is stunning! Very highly recommended if you are looking for something special.

After asking around several people pointed me towards Fortune Fine Jewellers so I went to meet to have a consultation, and it was better than I could have anticipated. Zachary was so knowledgeable and I felt that he very clearly understood what I wanted and knew how special it was for me. I picked it up my necklace on my 50th birthday and it was just perfect…!!! Thank you very much to Zachary and his father Michael for the warm welcome and the fantastic creation.

Michael is a true professional and always makes people feel very welcome in his “home”. His son Zachery has the same incredible attention to detail and customer service as his father. FFJ custom crafted an engagement ring and pendant for my wife 17 years ago and yesterday they took my amateur attempt at designing additional diamonds to the pendant and crafted an absolutely beautiful creation. Thank you Michael and Zachary! I don’t always buy jewelry but when I do, it’s from FFJ.

When I initially emailed Fortunes to have my antique gold ring repaired (a seed pearl had popped off) and resized, Zachary was quick and quite detailed in his response. He inspected the ring when I brought it in, sized my finger and advised on the repair The ring was re-sized and the pearl was reset at a reasonable price, so I am very pleased! When I picked up the ring, I also brought in a pair of vintage gold hoop earrings to have the latch post (piercing) changed. I told Michael that the latch post was irritating my ears, assuming that it was due to the metal material. Upon a quick inspection, Michael said that my irritation was potentially due to the thickness of the latch post and its shape (i.e., it was quite sharp like blade). He had the goldsmith shave down the latch post within a few minutes, so that it was thinner and more "rounded", less sharp. When I tried the earrings on my ears, they weren't irritated (and they haven't been irritated since!). Had it not been for his expertise, I would've assumed that I could not tolerate earrings with gold posts. Michael was also kind enough not to charge me for the earring service, so I really appreciate that. Overall, I would highly recommend Fortunes for any jewellery needs as they are knowledgeable, professional and courteous :)

The stone in my ring had fallen out ( not bought there) and I asked for advice on how to prevent this from happening again.
