β β β β β Fort Frances is an awesome center with rich historical artifacts from the early days of fur trade , Aboriginal artifacts, cultural documents and paraphernalia. It covers the forest industry from beginnings of the era up to present. Well worth the visit and be surprised what u find there.

β β β β β So much to see with a most helpful curator and staff of volunteers. Wish the town would provide an assistant for the one employee. It is beyond me how she manages without one because volunteers can only do so much. The displays of our history are treasures from our past. For a small town, we should be very proud of this faciliy.

β β β β β I stumbled across this lovely little museum while shopping in downtown Fort Frances. When I entered I made a donation , Sarah, the museum attendant, gave me a thorough explanation of the theme of Indigenous Reconciliation in the art exhibit on the main floor. I was impressed with her level of knowledge about the artist in question. I then took the elevator upstairs and viewed the collection of items there relating to the History of For Frances. It was very well done, with antiques and artifacts from eras like the time of the fur traders and the Hudson Bay company. I could have spent much more time there. Before leaving the museum I bought some souvenirs like Toques and books. Everything was very nice.
