The City of Morden, the Morden Community Development Corporation (MCDC), opened a business incubator space to support the growth of new restaurants and retail businesses.
Food Halls of this kind are popping up in cities across Canada as a new approach to economic development that supports the growth, or “incubation”, of small businesses in the hospitality and retail sectors.
In this way, the Food Hall and Market in Morden is a homegrown approach to economic development which offers not only great food to customers, but also offers the businesses enrolled in the program support to grow their business through flexible leases, savings on start-up costs, mentorship, and access to subject matter experts.
The Morden Food Hall and Market not only endeavours to offer patrons delicious and unique culinary options it also supports local entrepreneurs in the growth of their start-up businesses.
The MCDC is grateful for the support shown by the City of Morden and the Province of Manitoba for this program.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These guys are never ready. Sign says open, hours say open, but nothing ready. Came in at 11:25 and only person there was the Chinese food vendor. Absolutely nobody at the other vendors. Chinese food vendor said it would be 20 minutes or longer to prepare meal. Ridiculous.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've had food from 2 of the restaurants. Some of them do take some time to prepare but that is because they cook from scratch. It isn't unhealthy fast food that is mass produced in under 10 mins. It's delicious traditional dishes made at affordable prices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wang Dao's is delicious! Good chinese food - very friendly staff! One of my favourites for lunch. I've also tried both the chicken and beef shwarma from Ichkaben Doner Kabab. Everything is great!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried out ichkaben donar kitchen. Ordered a beef schwarmA poutine. I was not happy with the small portion size for the price they charge. The brown gravy was so salty and strong it overpowered the white sauce they add (which i couldn't taste at all). Not much meat added either. No other toppings such as green onions added or any onion at all. It would be nice to see more portion added for the price listed. One layer of French fries was not worth the price. Wasnt very flavorful. Tasted like a home made poutine or one you can order at McDonald's or Dairy queen just they add a small portion of meat.
