β β β β β Very inefficient store . Not sure why this particular one is slower and less organized than others.
There is no more Express lane so it's pandemonium on all lanes.
I have never had a positive experience here. Sorry for the workers that I think are trying .

β β β β β I'm visiting another Food Basics store today and this one is in Scarborough.
This store's interior has a brighter lighting system that I like because it just makes the place more enjoyable to shop in!
There's a Pharmacy here and pharmacist on duty which I haven't noticed at the other Food Basic locations I've shopped at. This is good to know.
Lots of specials so look for the red/white "Locked Down" price tags.
I scoured the whole store but this was a quick shopping trip as I needed a 12-pack of Coke $4.88, Club House Chili Seasoning Mix, a can of red kidney beans, two cans of sliced mushrooms, and a can of water chestnuts.
It was a fierce battle but I successfully fought off an urge to buy a box of 3 Haagen-Dazs Vanilla Almond ice cream bars! The dessert vibes were powerful.
Checkout was quick and store staff were friendly.
Parking was plentiful.

β β β β β This Food Basics really stepped up and improved services during the pandemic. Very short line ups to pay and get into the store. An extra shout out to the pharmacy department that has been providing excellent service before and during the pandemic. I just hope that the wait times to pay won't increase now that things are getting back to normal.

β β β β β Surprised to read that most of the people experienced good customer service. The employees could not be bothered about the customers any less. The quality of produce is mostly below par and for some reason the supposedly excellent employees that work here wait till a shelf is completely bare and then drag out a trolley right in the centre of an aisle and start restocking so that they can inconvenience shoppers to the maximum possible.

β β β β β Excellent variety and customer service except that at checkout, I had to physically get a photo for the cashier to convince her that she was overcharging me for the limes. She was adamant that she was correct, when I know what I saw. Other than that, everything else is always good when I shop there, particularly at cashout.

Not so good for meat but others canadian item pretty good
I buy chicken nuggets and wings from here
Plenty of indian products
I would suggest take trolly even you shop medium
They do not offer 10% student discount
Pharmacy pretty clean too
