C	Chaston W Barendregt on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm absolutely disgusted.. My vehicle broke down today so I called up flat rate taxi.. I called at 3pm to pre book a cab for 5:30 to pickup my groceries. I was told no problem.. The guy shows up at 5:10 and says he's outside waiting. I told him I booked the cab for 5:30 and if we left now the groceries would not be ready to pickup so he leaves and tells me he will be back at 5:30... I call the main office to confirm this. The dispatcher hangs up before I'm finished saying what I needed to but at least he says that the driver will be back at 5:30 to drive me... Welll... Here I sit it is now exactly 6:07 and I haven't seen or heard from a driver.. I ended up having to call a cab out of Edmonton to come and pick me up 6:35 I'm now finally at the grocery store picking up my order with coop cabs... An hour late... Never calling flat rate again

J	Jessica Wyllie on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One star seems like too many but zero isn't an option so here we are. I called Flat Rate to pick me up at the St Albert hospital. Was told it would be about 15 minutes. Called back 30 minutes later to see if there was still a cab coming. Was told they were almost there and would only be another 1-2 minutes. Well, another half hour later I finally see a cab pull in, only to be scooped up by someone waiting at a different entrance. I flagged the cab down and said I'd been waiting for an hour and he just said "well, another cab will be here in 2 minutes." Ended up calling a different cab company who was literally there in 4 minutes. TLDR: waited an hour for a cab after an ER visit only to have them pick up the wrong person.

An unmarked minivan with no meter showed up 40 minutes late and offered no apology. We drove from St. Albert to downtown Edmonton, he charged $46.00!!!! Do not use this company!! If they couldn’t make it around the time requested they could have just told me so I could call someone else! What a rip off! Our Yellowcab for the ride home was $25.00!

I called ahead by several days to book a lift to the airport for the first flight out of YEG in the morning. Then I called back to confirm the day before the pickup. The morning arrives - no taxi at the scheduled time - wait five minutes and call - and I'm told they'll look into it. Wait five more minutes and then call Apple taxi which arrives before Flat Rate gets back to me on whether or not they're going to pick me up. Told them not to bother as I was getting into the Apple cab to the airport.

The drivers were really slow at getting there or ridiculously early and would leave and I would have to re-book. There was one incident where a driver started being too friendly and added me on Facebook and started messaging me saying he missed me. Now this wouldnt be too big of an issue but he was in his 50s and i am 19. When I called the company about this they said that they he was already fired and didn't work there anymore. I was furious to find out this past week that as of 2 weeks ago he was still working there. I made the complaint over a month ago

The second was filthy, the driver was argumentative when I expressed on the route I wanted to go insisting that the route he wanted to take was faster. I wanted to go from Alpine to Herbert and straight down st.Albert trail to Midas. He wanted to go the opposite direction insisting that there were less lights. We ended up going through forest lawn area. The experience was so bad I’ll never use this company again. Anyone reading the reviews should be very cautious when choosing this company. If you’re a women DO NOT US this can company alone
