The new name of the restaurant is “ fishy’s original jerk” they have a new Instagram account where you can find details once they reopen. Original review: Absolutely love the Jerk Chicken here! The owner of the restaurant is super sweet and you can tell by the way her food tastes that she has a lot of passion for cooking. This has become my go-to spot for Caribbean food. Can’t wait to try the other things on the menu
E	Emelina Montoya on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Slap your mama good! Phenomenal jerk chicken - white and dark meat. So far, the closest to authentic Caribbean out of all other places I’ve had in Ottawa. Service is good and we called over the phone. I would suggest getting the chicken by 1/2 pound or one pound (or more if you need), the price is worth it. Pieces are chopped quite small but one serving is good enough for two to share. Should open another location on the West end of Ottawa.

Only thing I didn't like we're the amount of bones on the chicken, but sucking on the bones to extract all the flavour was nice. Highly recommended.

S	Salty Dog on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice clean spot in a strip mall, tried the curry goat and the red snapper (since I mean, its in the name). Red snapper had been stored in the fridge and when it was reheated, wasnt crunchy, skin was soggy. The pickled onions were good. The curry goat dish had good taste, but unfortunately, the cut of the goat was cut so small that there was alot of bone slivers in the sauce (see bone slivers on plate). It was tough to have a full bite without having to comb through to insure no bones were going to be swallowed, but the sauce was good. Bones were cut so small, there was any marrow to get to either. The plantains were not cooked with much care as you can see from the plate. Not sure if I got the bottom of the pot or it was the end of the day, but was really looking forward to a nice fulfilling meal and instead got a meal that had to be cautiously eaten.
