Fish and Duck Sproat Lake Resort

Great experience on the houseboat - would highly recommend to anyone! Thanks also to Gary for taking our group out for the wake-surfing day. Couldn't have gone any better and really helped that he accommodated for both new and experienced surfers. 10/10.

The fish and duck house boating experience is absolutely the best one of our lives and the highlight of our year every year! We try to go at least two or three times a year and find a family that runs the resort and house boating service absolutely amazing and incredibly personable. They make sure everything is in order and have all the bases covered. This is the best option for a family and friend friendly event of your life time. Go and check it out!!!

I booked a houseboat from Fish and Duck months in advance. The day we got there we were advised that one of the fridges wasn't working. They said not to worry we will be given a cooler with lots of ice. The cooler ended up being a tiny cooler enough to put some drinks in that's it. Unfortunately no other boats were available at the time that we could switch. We took the boat to a destination on the lake and then found most of the electric plugs were either not working or working very weak. Effectively we had only 1 functional plug. The guy came out and said the receptacle was faulty and gave us an extension cord to plug into the functional plug and advised that he would have someone out the next day by noon to fix. No one showed up. I followed up with a radio to them. They said they were busy with getting other boats out, but as soon as they were done they would have someone out. No one showed up again. Later around 5 I radio'd again to ask when someone was coming to fix the plugs. No one responded. The day I was leaving I advised the owner of what happened and my displeasure. He said they did send a guy out the next day but he was sent to the wrong boat. I find that extremely hard to believe when I told them multiple times the name of our boat. I advised him how I called multiple times to get someone out and no one responded. He said that shouldn't have happened and wasn't acceptable and that he would speak to accounting to see what they can do for me. To date nothing has been done and no response from them after multiple e-mails sent to them on this. Very disappointed at the lack of service and caring for what could have been a year to year repeat customer. Sorry you lost me now.

Very friendly and helpful employees. Great location. Just got back from our second trip with them and will, without a doubt, be back for a 3rd!

We spent 4 nights on Twilight with 6 adults 5 boys and our rotti pup. We had such an amazing time. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We will book again for sure! Thank you for having us!!

2021 update: we went back because our experience previously was so good and we were not let down this year either. We got the "jalesa" this year and it was certainly an upgrade with a spacious interior, nice and clean and larger sleeping accommodations (each boat is a bit different so if you have specific needs I would recommend giving them a call). We had a few questions before our trip and as before Kryssie was right on top of answering us. The team on site was great, knowledgable and efficient in getting us on and off the boat. They really value their new and returning customers. Could not speak more highly of the fish and duck. We would also recommended getting bushwhacked in the pub. (2020 boat twilight) Rented a houseboat for a week and could not have asked for a better experience. Kryssie and the whole team made sure we had everything we needed from giving us the houseboat inventory list beforehand to answering all our questions while on the water. Sounds like they only took over the business in September 2019 so reviews before then are not reflective of the current owners. Had a bit of an issue with the radio and generator but the team sorted things out right away (and threw in some complimentary ice for our trouble). The houseboats are well equipped, and spacious (a lot wider then anticipated), the sleeping area on the upper deck is large enough for adults who are limber and ready for an adventure. The slide, hot tub and sundeck ensure fun for everyone. The BBQ is older but gets the job done. The lake is large and beautiful, we were always able to find a quiet area to relax and enjoy (we did observe several busier areas for those looking to socialize as well). Would recommend the company and experience and we will return!

Had a absolute blast. Parking is a bit of a trick but the staff make musical cars a breeze. The boats themselves are in great shape and you couldn't ask for a better lake to cruise on.

Great customer service! Gary was wonderful to talk to and helped us navigate around an unforseen event that had our group unable to attend our scheduled booking. He was polite and understanding of our situation, we couldn't have asked for a more reasonable outcome! We won't be making it out this year but previous years have been so much fun and look forward to house boating with fish and duck in the future!
