A	Ahmad Hashemi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ People please listen. This place is hell. It is unsafe. My car windows were broken at night twice. Cocokraches are everywhere. I mean in each apartment. Once you check place at day time it looks clean but at night millions of roaches are everywhere. They even walk on your face at night. You have to hide this problem because if you report it then management will not accept it and will say only your apartment has roches. Then you can not break the contract because your apartment must be cocokrache free before you leave. This place is a disaster. The management is hunting people coming from abroad. Please save yourself and run away. This is my honest advice.

Every few days some car windows are broken and then the only thing they do is sending emails. They expect us to sleep in our car and take care of it. The other problem is the hug number of cocokraches and bugs.
J	James Marchment on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't move here. Big mistake. Stay away. It's horrible. Teeming with cockroaches. Every cupboard, closet, and drawer was infested. I cannot say strongly enough how disgusting the room was. Ended up moving out after a week, just couldn't stand it. Also, it's a 3rd floor unit, stairs only, no elevator. They did not mention this to us when we signed up, so get ready to carry everything up three flights of steps. No air conditioning, and it gets really hot and humid. You can bring your own air conditioner, but again, you have to carry it up the stairs. The place was described as "furnished", but the furnishings were entirely insufficient. Just a few pieces of old furniture in disrepair. No dishes or cutlery, no microwave, not even a shower curtain. Choosing Platt's Lane Estates was an expensive mistake for us. Again -- COCKROACHES. EVERYWHERE. The attached photo is a glue strip I laid out for about 24 hours. There were tons of the things, getting into all the food and everything.
D	David Sener on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Many people choose this place because of Western University. But upon arrival they notice it was a mistake. It is an expensive place to live. Besides it is old, smelly, not very safe and full of insect and cockroaches. It is hot as hell in summer. With this rent I could find a much better place. The people in office are very unhappy and treat the students so bad.

It's a wonderful family friendly community and very conveniently located close to Western and other amenities. The housing office staff has been very helpful and extremely efficient in dealing with all our concerns. We had a roach issue when we moved in but it was dealt with very effectively and I've never had an issue since. Overall it's been a great experience and we've thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

In fall 2016 the cockroaches appeared in our building and for the last 18 months of residency were a constant infestation. Management was unwilling to treat the whole building, so treatments of our suite resulted in perhaps a day of relief before the bugs returned from neighbouring suites. Suites are a decent size for a single person or couple with large balconies/patios. Fixtures are dated and kitchen is exceptionally small. There are much newer, cleaner, more pleasant options for students near the UWO campus. I would suggest looking for accommodations there before coming here. Very disappointing for a university-owned student-housing initiative.

S	Sabbir M. Saleh on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As it’s a place for Western Students with Family it’s really nice. Good facility for washing too. Suggestion: Need to install Security Cameras or Full Time Physical security Guards at each entry and exit point.
