Definitely worth the hype! Figo was such an amazing experience. Their pizzas will surely make you want to keep coming back in for more! Such a great spot for a dinner date with beautiful interiors.

Service and ambience are great. The food itself is a little underwhelming. The sauce in the Cacio el Pepe wasn't emulsified enough, the pizza Diavola was good, the sourdough crisps with the Truffle Ricotta were just too thin and not enough. The price to quality ratio felt a little off.

This review is more like 4.5 stars. Firstly, I’d like the point out that it is mandated that restaurants should be scanning QR codes now and mine was just looked at. Not gonna report them or anything because they still checked for proof of vaccination. The place definitely has a nice vibe to it. A great place for a drinks with friends or a date. The menu itself was simple but had good selection. The pasta was al dente and cooked well. The pizza had a really nice soft dough to it which I really liked. The bread we ordered was really tough imo and made it a bit hard to chew and enjoy. Everything was more or less enjoyable but I wouldn’t call it amazing. What really made my review from 4 to 4.5 stars was our waiter. He made sure I never went thirsty and gave me recommendations for dinner as well as drinks. He was so friendly and happy that he made my overall experience that much better.

The hospitality and service here is impeccable. No doubt about it. Everyone who works here is extremely attentive and kind. The food on the other hand I’m sorry to say was extremely disappointing. For the price especially, I’d expect a lot more. Ordered the cacio e pepe pasta, ricotta appetizer, and the zucchini fritter appetizer. The pasta sauce was not emulsified and bland. The fritter was too oily, also no flavour aside from some cracked pepper, salt, and the honey sauce. The ricotta had a handful of sourdough pieces which were more like crackers. Would probably not revisit Figo again.

Superb place to have a weekend getaway. They have a pretty nice patio.pizza is a must try, thin crust with fresh toppings. Calamari is one of the best I had in recent times (in terms of freshness). We had been taken care by one of the best staff who guided us through the menu since we were new. We also tried linguine frutti Di mare it was also good enough. I would recommend to try the pizza and calamari.

What has happened to this place? Figo was our go to spot for many years. The calamari appetizer was one of the best in the city, the pastas were consistently decent and the cocktails were beautifully decorated. I’m not sure if management has turned over or they are trying to keep costs down with rising prices but the food is rather atrocious. The calamari was definitely not fresh. It had a fishy smell so we sent it back. It also looked completely unrecognizable from what Figo had always served. We were debating if we had ordered a burnt cauliflower appetizer by mistake. The drinks now look depressed. I remember before they were some of the nicest in the area. The seafood pasta was a bland parody. The main components being overly sweetened sauce, grease and spoiled clams. We would have sent it back but we didn’t want to bother our server. Speaking of which the service was the only bright spot for the evening. During the summer months we’d frequent Figo at least 2-3 every few weeks. Unfortunately we won’t be back.

I was really conflicted on how many stars I should give this restaurant and unfortunately I can only give 3 stars for the following main reason: the food was salty. I’ll start off with the pros of this restaurant which is the obviously the interior of the place that is inviting and creates a warm and sexy ambience with their floral ceiling amongst other interior decorating touches. However, the food is what should come above the interior of a restaurant. We ordered the truffle pizza, calamari, green salad, seafood stew, and the short beef pasta. The first bite of all dishes seemed good but as you swallow the first bite, you find yourself following it with big gulps of water, in particular the calamari, pizza and seafood stew. It became obvious of this as the majority of us agreed the food was salty but also the constant refills of water we had to chase down the salt and also stay hydrated. Perhaps it was just a bad first time experience and other days the food isn’t salty? The service was just alright and it’s not because the server wasn’t kind. It was hard to get the server to come check on us and get their attention as the short beef pasta was punched in but the kitchen forgot to make it. We had asked what happened and realized it was forgotten by the kitchen. They were nice enough to comp the pasta for forgetting to make it. Despite all this, would I return? Probably not.

We went there after the show on a weekend. We did not have a reservation. The host was able to fit us for one hour, but he commented that if we don’t leave in one hour he will have a manager walk us out from the restaurant. After we swallowed his unnecessary comment, the rest of our experience at Figo was amazing. The food was delicious- we had excellent beer, calamari, seafood pasta and mushrooms. Everything tasted great, tender and flavourful. The coffee was strong and perfect. The best was the last - amazing dessert of tiramisu. I am planning to go back for more soon!
