Here for a summer visit, great way to spend your day, either hiking the mountain or riding the mountain on your bike. Plenty of wildlife to see and the views are absolutely beautiful. You can buy a lift ticket and you and the bike go up the mountain.

We loved our stay in fernie. You have to pay for parking and it was very wet when we went so alot of the lifts were closed. The staff are amazing and friendly.

Awesome skiing resort albeit not recommended for beginners like Lake Louise or Sunshine Village. For the more experienced there are however slopes and bowls in abundance. Challenging, beautiful and fast. Some can be icey and rather steep which can make them daunting for inexperienced, even more so with limited visibility in the morning before the clouds break. Beginners take Bear or Siberia Experienced should try bowls like Cedar, Timber or Curry. Awesome skiing in between the trees. Best parking (free) is P4 as you can walk in 25 mtrs to the piste Siberia with super access where you can ski down to 4seat chair lift. Best rental is The Quest in the resort. Small but Great advice, top ski (many from VΓΆlkl), good prices and direct access to Bear fiste. Very easy going and friendly people all around.

Good: One of the most majestic mountains ever skied, Lizard Range headwalls flanking the bowls are out of this world. Plenty of steep tree skiing, Folks in town were incredibly friendly, so genuine , Love Canadians! Bad: day after we arrived It snowed 13" on March 15, 2022 , Great News right? Snow was like concrete, wet and sticky, avalanche control explosives were blasting, ropes closed off many areas, Top lift never opened ( rarely opens I learned) , temperatures were a balmy 33 degrees, and cloudy . When the lift attendants started handing out plastic make shift ponchos because of the drizzle on the lower mountain I cringed.. Take away: Global Warming, Elevation , If I visit again I hope its in December, January. Feb

This is a lovely mountain - as you can see, there is a 360 mountain range around the ski hill and you really feel like you're on top of the world. At the top, you can see the condensation accumulating just above the mountain peaks, as well as bright areas illuminated by breaks in the clouds, truly a breathtaking experience. But just a few heads up for the snowboarders, if you decide to go up the Bear chair (which you can only access via Elk), be sure that you're comfortable with narrow paths and precipitous edges - don't let the fact that it's considered a green run throw you off!! It took me a long time to go down this path and I would have had a better day had I left Bear for the end of the day or after I've gotten more runs in. The height alone is very intimidating for a certain people, even the skiers that I went with. It's not surprising that the majority of the people I saw here were skiers, there are many narrow flat spots that skiers would have no problem with but that snowboarders would either have to have enough momentum to keep going or would have to walk. Snowboarding newcomers should stick to deer or elk chair to get the most out of their stay. FUN FACT: the wooden cabin pictured below (that you can see on the right hand side as you're going up the Elk chair) is the location for Hot tub Time machine 1 & 2!

Had a great day on the slopes. No sun, some wind but great snow covered runs! This resort is very conscientious regarding covid as everyone is wearing masks while getting on the lifts. Can't wait to go again.
