★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fergie's Bakery is what showed on my Google pay receipt. And I think thats watch they do best. Traditional homestyle deliciousness. Always much better stocked than other bakeries in town. I'd say tastier and better value as well. It's definitely not as fancy or trendy. There is no seating. This is a corner store that also sells fresh in-store baked goods. Parking lot is small but sufficient most days. Apple fritters and nanaimo bars are the best! No one else does them better. If calories matter to you though, choose carefully. ?❤

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bought a Crueller which was delicious. The Apple Fritter... not so much. Everyone raved about them in the reviews so I decided to get that as well. Took one bite and... oil. The doughnut is so oily. Husband took a bite and said "don't eat that". The temperature of the oil they fried the doughnuts in must have not been hot enough, so the fritter just absorbed so much oil.
Considering I paid $5.44 for two doughnuts, and only one was edible, 1 star. Wish I could give more, I had high hopes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place isn't much to look at but the baked goods were to die for and priced really well! We got the apple Fritter and a brownie along with an incredible loaf of bread. Go for a drive up the mountain and try this place!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent bakery and convenience store they have a delicious apple cinnamon bread that makes the most amazing French toast!! Awesome home baked cookies. Great place to stop for a treat before or after a Lady MacDonald hike as it's just down the road from the trail parking lot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DELICIOUS baking, from single serve fritters, donuts, bars and streusels, a half dozen cookies, to loaves of unique breads. The scent upon walking in is heavenly. Then the rest of the shop does a wonderful job of fulfilling a bodega role in its corner of town, having convenience and a full assortment of grocery items, and showcases loads of local products as well. Frozen pizzas, local cheese and meats, and more. I was excited to find some goodies I only spot at seasonal markets back in Airdrie.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We are always on the look out for a good bakery... seems so hard to find these days. But with this place we scored!!! Honestly the best apple fritter I’ve had for a long time!! The cinnamon buns and the macaroons were also a hit!!
Definitely worth going out of the way to this place! I will return every time we are in or going through Canmore!! Delicious!
