Having seen the properties, both in development, and once finished, I can say with absolute certainty that their attention to detail, meticulous work ethic, and commitment to the task is second to none. The homes that Fawdry create are beautiful, and if I lived in Canada, and was in the market for a new home, I'd use Fawdry in a heartbeat.
N	Norbert Lacis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fawdry is building a house on the lot next to ours. They dug a 9 ft deep excavation with vertical unsupported sides within 1.5 feet of our property line and fence. When we pointed out that the earth had moved opening a crack along our property making us concerned about the side failing and taking our fence with it, we were told not to worry and that it had all been engineered properly. This must not have been the case since Worksafe BC put a stop work order on anyone entering the excavation until a safe work procedure could be developed. Over 3 months later, the excavation is partially filled but we still have a 3 ft deep vertical cut, partially undermined. The earth has moved some more and following a heavy rain, our fence gate no longer closes properly. When asked to complete filling the hole and push our fence back in place, Fawdry's response (Chris Freer) was that the fence etc would be restored in "due time", backfilled "when appropriate" and when "the project is complete" (currently estimated to be about 9 months from now). In the meantime Chris offered us a chain to temporarily secure the gate - no apology, no understanding, no effort or concern to deal with our property. Another heavy rain could cause more movement and maybe an actual collapse. Fawdry obviously don't care about us. So beware. Your builder may jeopardize your future relationship with your new neighbours before you even move in.
