Fairview School | Calgary Board of Education - Calgary

grade 7 - The school is kinda whack. It has very bad quality equipment for Gym, and school supplies. The teachers aren't all good. Some are amazing, and others will treat you with very bad attitude. I still attend this school as of now and the only thing I like about it is the memories I have had with classmates and friends. The neighboring school, Le Roi Daniels which I attended for all of Elementary is great! Yet they both work for the same organization of TLC. I wouldn't recommend your kid to attend this school, as they the school itself is cap. They say it is ranked as one of the best schools in the CBE, however that is a lie. I will miss this school and the memories i will and have had of this school when I am done grade 8 and 9, but will be happy for it ending as it isn't my ideal choice for my education. Sorry for thee long rant, hopefully anyone reading this takes this into account. grade 8 (online school/covid) - I am currently headed into grade 9. To be completely honest, I am doing school online and from what friends tell me, the school facilities are/seem terrible. They tell you to 'wash your hands' and 'wear a mask,' I still don't think that is enough for you to be able to send your kids to the school. You can argue that they have clean (they have pee stains on the walls, and ceiling!) washrooms and all, but from the descriptions I've been given, I personally just don't think you are going to feel safe by any chance. Doing online, I also worked with kids and teachers from other schools. And not going to lie, I had MUCH better exp with the other teachers then the ones from Fairview. This should speak for itself. Enough of a rant, if you're a student headed into Fairview in the coming years, trust me, you'll hate the school, but you'll find a lot of people that are pretty rad. So uh, good luck to you but I can't say the best for this school but this is my complete, almost unbias opinion. grade 8 (online school/covid) - almost done with this online school, i hate it

I've seen another post on this page about a similar thing about Fairview Juniors High schools band teachers and gym teachers. Mr Taub is I guess okay but Mr Hiley is not a good band teacher, he cares too much about what the students think and he tries to be funny and he is more than f.a.t. Nobody thinks hes funny and he makes fun of desi culture and makes too much cultural sensitive jokes

The school is pretty sus. And their money decisions are wack. They can't afford paper but the can afford $700 printer????? Like.

Some of the teachers are really biased especially Mr Taub and Mr Hiley, they are really weird towards girls and they don't care about boys. They chat up the girls and give each one special names. They only answer the girls and they joke around too much with the girls. They and many other teachers here give first priority to girls. A few years ago, all of the end of year awards were given to girls to make them feel better, even if the boys did a better job. Mr Taub always give extra points towards the girls in sports, they look at girls weird, also Mr Hiley racially profiles students, especially minorities and he is very stereotypical of different races.

I went to this school from grade 4 to grade 7 and grade 7 was the only year I did good in school to be honest. This school is outdated, and there is only a handful of actually good teachers in the school. The rest are mediocre or HARD ROCK HORRIBLE. But I kinda miss this school because I did have a lot of fun and learned a lot.

Fairview is a decent school. It has multiple interior damages. The washrooms are extremely disgusting and 3 years ago when the cafeteria was open the food tasted so bad. There are a couple of good teachers like Ms.Taub and Mme. Adams.

The school is pretty basic and not really a big deal, the school is really multicultural and has a lot of good teachers and bad teacher, the substitutes are pretty nice too, like Mr.Bridgewater and others, Mrs.Taub, Madame Adams and there are a lot others to name. But overall this school is average and has a few annoying students but thats al.

I mean it's okay ?? some teachers here are nice like Mr Anderson and Ms Swanson, some teachers aren't very nice at this school. Kids are literally cray cray(ESPECIALLYONBUSES). AND it's very outdated. Not clean, the washrooms are a big no no. And that's all I gotta say about this school
