I told him what my symptoms were and he literally just looked them up on the internet and started reading from a website about what I should do (which I already had done and it didnt help). I guess anyone can be a doctor all you need is the internet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The "doctor" here should be avoided for all but the most mundane complaints. My health plan requires that I get a "re"-referral after 1 year to access massage, physio, chiropractic, acupuncture, naturopathy, etc (a seriously misguided policy to begin with). This doddering old man (who still illegibly hand-writes his scripts on a notepad) gleefully informed me of chiropracty's "phony" nature, citing some hearsay creation story (no reference provided), meanwhile singing the praises of "evidence based" practices like physiotherapy and brain surgeons. He obliged me with an embarrassing man-splain-ation of "science" to me, largely ignored my request, absolutely failed to listen to me, and argued that the phony-ness of chiropracty is evidenced by the fact that the province doesn't cover it. Based on this line of reasoning, I guess "modern medicine" doesn't think very highly of dentists or optometrists, either? I hope this quack retires before his license is revoked. He is a perfect example of everything wrong with our current health care system.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give 0 stars I would. Dr.smardon is extremely rude and had no idea what the medication I am on was. He literally took out his phone and googled it and then continued to judge me for taking it. TERRIBLE SERVICE DO NOT GO HERE.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Would give zero stars if I could. Probably the worst walk-in doctor experience I've ever had (and I've had some pretty bad ones). I went to this ridiculous old man regarding some pretty major concerns about concussion symptoms, one month post injury. Not only did he disregard everything I said, essentially told me I was wrong, but also tried to tell me the specific symptoms I was experiencing (common with a concussion) were not related, would "hopefully just go away", and that FOUR WEEKS was "A LONG TIME AGO" for a concussion. Pretty sure he should have his medical license taken away. I went here because the usual clinics I like were full and I needed to get in somewhere given the severity of my concerns... would have been better off not wasting my time and waiting to get in somewhere else. At least I was able to force him to give me a specialist referral... avoid this place if you can.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely receptionist. I walked straight in, the doctor gave me quick and effective service. Asked if I'd like to take a physicians' sample instead of having to fill a prescription for a puffer to get through the smoky air issue (the concern I went in for). I highly recommend this clinic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Smardon is AWFUL. He has a terrible attitude, and called me names when I asked for a dermatologist referral. Don't go here, go to a REAL doctor. Disgraceful. That said, the receptionist is nice, someone save her.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ By far, the worst walk in doctor experience I’ve ever had. Not usually one to write a negative review but I really don’t want others to have this experience. Dr. Smardon was rude, dismissive, and discouraging. I left crying because I felt so disrespected. He wouldn’t listen to me at all and was googling “best probiotic for IBS” and recommending things I’ve said I have tried and don’t work .. he then walked out of the room as I was still talking and clearly didn’t understand what the solution was.
The receptionist was so kind and helpful! She was amazing.
After reading other reviews I feel better knowing I’m not the only one whose had this experience. Go elsewhere if possible!
